im sure that it will continue, because the coaches said that they would be back. plus, there was a filming of some sort of a showcase just last week. i think the show might take a break for a couple of weeks, and then continue on with a few more episodes to show the outcome of the changes that the coaches made. im just speculating though on how soon the show will return, but im 99.9% confident that theres more episodes for this season.
I'm kind of confused of the timeline of this show. I assume that was all during last season? Maybe before? I could see them doing an episode of how they practiced/behaved when Eddie and Orby left, and how their next (first?) competition went. And another thing that tripped me up was why are they having a showcase at such a strange time? Do some gyms have showcases at the end of their season?

For high school cheer we always had an end of the year showcase. All the team (youth program to Varsity) performed with some special performances (father-daughter type of stuff), stunt and tumbling demonstrations. It was a great way to end the season so that family and friends could see routines for the last time of the year. There was also snacks and drinks afterwards.

I think that's a really great idea! I guess for a lot of big gyms, Worlds and the Summit are essentially their end of the year showcases. But that's great for programs (like mine) that don't go to these big competitions. We could even incorporate the regular tumbling classes into them somehow, because I feel like they get bored not having something to look forward to like the teams do.

Our gym has an end of year showcase too. It is casual and held in the gym with folding chairs for seats. It is just family, friends, and some new prospects who want to check out the gym. Some of the teams do their whole routine; but most choose to show off the skills acquired throughout the year. They usually do their passes from the routine, new tumbling and any new stunting.

Since I am more aware of things this year, I realized that it also served as a showcase vehicle for tryouts/placements. It gave all the coaches another look at the athletes.

It is a great way to end the season, imo.

from what i was able to deduce from the timing of the events that happened in the show Cheerleaders (coach Eddie getting sick after coming back from Iowa just before the first competition at the end of 11.2013) this was filmed at the beginning of that month or the end of 10.2013.

im also guessing that "end of the year showcases" are done by teams/gyms that don't go to worlds or summit. if you look at it another way, all teams have end of the season showcases, except the ones that go to worlds or the summit call it their "pre-worlds/summit showcase/send-off".

im guessing that airborne did theres extra late, since the showcase was being filmed with the smoed coaches and so as to not conflict with the worlds schedule of the smoed coaches.

I wonder how much Eddie getting sick added to what felt like an the abrupt ending in today's episode?

None I believe. I don't think his symptoms appeared until back in California.

In sweden the gyms usually have both a christmas showcase and an end of the season showcase. but that maybe because most gyms have alot of prep teams that do not compete and the competition teams mosty compete once or maybe twice. regionals and thet nationals.

I think an end of the season showcase is a cute idea, i will look into that.

And i´m glad that we didn´t get any parent drama till now on the cheerhab episodes. I was a little concerned with the parents sitting in the gym through the practices.

when the series about smoed started I thought Orby was scary. now I think he's so adorable and I just want to hug him :)

He just seems like such a good guy sure he is hard on the kids but he's still a softie inside and i love hom for that. (but everybody on here should know by now that im such a big Eddie and Orby fan)

Most performing art sports, have an end of year,recital/showcase,type thing. Cheer is the only sport,we've been apart of,that doesn't have any,end of the year thing. For example,cp's dance schedule, looks like this.
Tryouts/Practice/TeamPlacement-Choreography:June to November
Comp Team Dance Showoff:Late November
Christmas recital; December
Regular comp season:November thru May/June
End of year recital/Showoff:Late May
Nationals:July-August
Kids, friends & family, love the end of the year thing, because it's like an end of the year bang, for the ones who don't go to nationals and a chance to show what they learned over the year, before the next season. I think it would be a great idea for gyms to get on the end of the year recital/showcase idea. It's an money maker & families love it.
