UCA came after the team had been rehabbed by Eddie and Orby. That explains their UCA placement a bit more. Because the team initially didn't appear to be first place material. That means they returned to sloppy between UCA and Showcase. Then they got another visit from Eddie and Orby just prior to Showcase. Then Eddie and Orby remained there to attend Showcase. We'll have to see how they perform this upcoming season. Hopefully rehab helped them they will have a good season.

Or that's the way it was edited...to ensure an exciting "rehab" storyline. The joys of "reality" tv.

The timeline fits with the absence of Orby and Eddie. In addition some of the athletes were told at the time about Cheerhab and what they were doing.

I'm not arguing with the timeline at all...I'm just saying the "train wreck" video and other things may have been a bit exaggerated for the sake of "good tv". I worked in the business for years. It's done all the time.

You'll get no argument from me on that. I don't understand how a team gets first at UCA and shortly thereafter becomes such a disaster. Losing a teammate wouldn't be the the cause of that. Certainly editing played a part. I wonder how the featured team and coach feel about their portrayal in the series. Anyone on the board know ?

i do believe that eddie and orby came to rehab them after UCA and before their showcase. stated previously in this thread their showcase was a few weeks ago.

Yeah, they were there both before UCA and after UCA . They also were in attendance at their Showcase.

Can I just ask what a super senior is cause I never heard on the term until this cheerhab ep and now I'm hearing it everywhere!

Also if Eddie and Orby came into my gym I guarantee you that my squad would work 4 times hard (not saying we're horrible and slack off with our normal coach) but we'd be terrified of being yelled at by them plus we'd wanna impress them! (There only one girl on our squad under the age of 18 btw)

It looks more like a swastika or a throwing star than an X. And the flower is a definite no. I'm not a fan of this look at all.

Your uniform and style are your gyms best (or worst) advertisement. Some different choices would be good here.

ETA: wishfulthinking I'm just using your post as a jumping off point so none of this is directed to you specifically of course!

Reason #973363728 as to why I love Stingrays. Everything about their image lines up, from the bows, to the uniform, to the makeup, to the routines. Clean and simple.

A supersenior is someone that graduates from high school before aging out of the senior division. Ex: Suzie graduates from high school at 17 (most common age for a super senior) and cheers during her freshman year of college or during a gap year. The luckiest superseniors are those whose birthdays fall after the August 1st age cutoff, because they get even more time on the mat.

Someone who has graduated high school but is still eligible for and on a senior team. Most people can still be on a senior team the year after they graduate high school, but most don't continue cheering. It's been failry common for level 5 athletes for a while that move to go to college/cheer at their favorite gym for one more year after they graduate.

A super senior is the greatest thing you could ever be. I'm young enough to super super senior, and I'll be entering my second year of college in the fall.

I always say God can come and choreograph and fix your routine but if you don't have 1: coaches that know how to clean, adjust, and keep momentum, it doesn't matter and 2: kids need to want it.

My theory is you need to know your kids, your program, where and HOW to make changes, and keep them motivated. In Cheerhab, the kids seemed bummed about being 4.2 so that coach needs to really explain and back the decision and be suer excited about it all the time, she needs to keep up w/ the conditioning that was given, she needs to know how to keep stunts going smooth, if something isn't working, know your kids to make a change that helps and let Eddie and Orby know where the change was made and why, etc.

My cp would have been able to do this too. I wish she had! She opted to stop in 2012 though. This would be her last year, as she is finally 19. (Would have graduated 2012 if she'd been in public school, but she was still 18 last summer. Her birthday is 9/30, which is the cut off date for school so she was always the youngest every class) I think NOW she is regretting not super senioring, now that it's too late.

I could have super super super seniored and been on a senior team my junior year of college, but of course I only did one year of allstars my entire life and I decided to be on an Open 4 team that year. But this was before they switched the cutoff date from May 31 to August 31.
