Who was doing that? That's ridiculous!

Good luck! I'm sure you will be great and the kids will love you! You are from my area so hopefully I will get to see your team compete this season!
Thank you! First practice went great, they are such cute little nuggets and SO much fun! I believe we plan on going to Coastal, Reach the Beach, Athletics, Advanced Spirit, Spirit Fest, JAMfest LV, and JAMfest Boston, maybe I will see you around!

I have my first practice with my Y2 team tonight and I'm super excited / nervous! All the girls basically know each other and love the 2 other coaches (I love them too !). I hope all goes well and the little ones can learn to love me too!

I'm a nanny so I work well with children and have been involved with coaching cheer for a handful of years now, but this is my first time coaching younger kids, any tips?!

Games, conditioning, skill work ideas for a youth team ?!

2 positives for every 1 correction. Focus on details from the beginning. Make the correction immediately after they make the mistake, and then have them do it again immediately.

Things I did with my minis that would work for youth:
1. 6 piece foam princess puzzle = every piece is a section/skill that we have to do perfectly. Once we do that section/skill, we get to add the puzzle piece. Putting the whole puzzle together = a prize/break/30 second dance party.
2. Plan everything you want to do at practice and write it on slips of paper, folded in a bag. Let them pick what they're doing (blindly). Little ones are so much more enthusiastic if they have a say in what they're going to do. Or I'll flip the papers over so the words are on the floor and have them choose 1, 2 or 3. We flip whatever paper they pick and do that.
3. Spirit buddies. We paired them up with a partner for the season and they were encouraged to make their spirit buddy cards, cheer them up when they were sad, etc. We paired kids that may not have hung out otherwise.

If anyone from Michigan is looking to coach... Saginaw Valley State University is looking for a coach and if they don't find someone they're going to cut the program :( which is a total bummer because I was super excited to tryout this year

I've been working at Smoothie King for a little over a month now. I love it. I was getting around 25 hours a week or so. And this week and next week, I'm getting like 15 hours a week. But our manager has hired 4 new people, and brought in 2 people from other stores. I know a month isn't long, but already in this month I've came in on days off (even when he calls and asks me to be there within the hour), taken other people's shifts for whatever reason, and have told him whenever he needs me to work, I'm always available. When we have no customers, I actually stay productive instead of just chilling on my phone. Plus, these 2 weeks, the only days they have me working is Saturday and Sunday, which is the only days I can go visit my boyfriend in Pensacola since during the week, he's in class. I guess I'm going to give it a week or two and see if it changes once these new people are trained. :/

Yes and I was not happy. I'm using the Clinique products right now and so far, so good.
