Too many factors---how many hours a week, what does it include?

We pay significantly less, but tumbling is not included nor are anything else---apparel, comp fees, travel...yada yada.

It depends what's included as others have said, and what your market is currently running at. If that's in line with the rest of your local market (and includes factors similar to those gyms) then you're in line. Now remember quality comes with a price as well. Your market may have significantly cheaper options, but are those options really "comparable" to to what you're getting where you are?

If they are comparable then yes, your gym is over priced. If they're not comparable in terms of competition schedule, competitiveness, coaching, team options and skill levels then you need to compare your prices to a gym that is roughly equivalent into those things.

I.e. You can't compare California AS to Susie's janktastic cheer barn. They're not comparable programs.

Hi Guys, I suppose I should have provided more info! (Sorry)

Our girls practice 8 hours a week plus an additional 1 hour of tumbling per week.
The $230 strictly covers tuition and tumbling (uniform $110 and comp fees are additional). I do all of our choreography and the girls fundraised for music. I also make all of there apparel so they only have to pay like $30 for this. We also are only "traveling" to 1 competition this year so the parents will have to pay for that.

I cannot tell what other gyms in our area are charging... Nobody puts this on their website for some reason...

I am now totally confused. Are you "at" the gym and are asking as a parent or do you own/coach at the gym given you design uniforms and do the choreography and are trying to get a sense of what you should charge your customers?
Either way, the monthly tuition is high compared to other gyms but your uniform price is very low. Do you charge for choreography? Are you only going to the one competition or are there others that you don't have to travel too? It still is hard to give you an answer without knowing what all of the fees are

I'm paying $125 for about 12/14 hours a week. 10/12 practice hours and 2 hours tumbling. (Not that many hours right now, but during the season that's pretty accurate)

We pay 150.00 a month which is just tuition and 5 1/2 hours of practice time a week. We then had to pay for shoes, $80.00, uniform $330, choreography $250, then competition fees, travel expenses, etc. I researched several gyms in our area and I am happy with the fees and how the gym is run. Practice wear also was about $95.00 for one outfit and bow. I like paying the expenses like this as opposed to the block fees that I have seen other gyms do.

I still don't get why uniforms need to cost $300+.
