Maybe it seems that way, but it's his job to make videos. Most videos that people put out are just a montage with music playing (sometimes the same music in multiple videos by the same person. Lol). Why not have fun & do something different if you're getting paid for it?
They have there own personal videographer, why not take advantage? But that doesn't mean they're doing it strictly for publicity.
Most of the time it doesn't even seem like they're paying attention to the cameras, with the exception of the occasional wave & "crazy faces" they make at them.

if it was for memories and not publicity, they could easily put all the videos on a private account for the team and families so only they could watch. the whole world doesn't need to see every thing that happens surrounding the gym. yes, if you don't want to see it, just don't watch (which i do not, unless they show up on the boards.) but CEA arguably receives more criticism than any other gym out there. maybe if they didn't broadcast everything they do and show up on social media 6 times a day they wouldn't receive so much "hate." if they quietly kept to themselves, the people criticizing them would also be quiet. just saying.

but again, to each their own. they seem to thrive off of having a 100% open door policy and letting everyone know what they're doing at every second. whatever.

But they clearly don't care about people criticizing it. I think the number of people enjoying the videos clearly outweighs the number of people criticizing them. Haha

It's all a matter of opinion on the whole situation, if you want to call it that. Lol :)

I completely agree - some people love it and that's great! I'm just not one of those people. I have immense respect for what CEA puts out on the mat, I just think their publicity is excessive and don't care for what they do outside of competitions, but that doesn't mean it's wrong of them to do it. It works for CSP and her program, so all the power to her.

...I only see the JTV videos when they're posted here. Where are y'all subscribing to where you get them practically everyday?!

Having had my sister's wedding a year ago, I thought it was a cute way to include a sizable portion of your 'extended' family without having to try to cram that many people into a church. Maybe her ideal ceremony venue was really small/intimate and this was her way of having both. Also- who said this was expensive? You could probably do that for a couple hundred bucks, maybe less depending on where this was held? Some simple decorations, basic outfits they already had. It's also probably a nice bonding event.

You have to imagine- how many people has she essentially spent every day with since they were children? Coaching kids, week in and week out, plus extra classes/privates, going to competitions, flying together, etc. That's a LOT of people to essentially grow up with. Doesn't she run Raleigh?

Thats Highschool cheer? wish the higschool i go to was like that... my high school's team falls out of preps....
There are a lot of School teams that are very good and have a very high skill level. I was lucky enough to be on a great teams in both grammar and high school. Our routines were just like level 4/5 all star routines. I liked all stars better cause I hated cheering at games but my high school team used to compete twice in the same day sometimes and traveled and competed constantly. I'm old lol so all star was not as popular yet during that time. At least not where I lived.:)

Northgate:

Veterans:

Does Veterans have their routine choreographed by someone who does allstar? Last year they used WE Generals' dance from 2013 & this year they used a mix of Senior Elite & SSX.
Not trying to hate, it's a legit question.

Not sure but high school teams use parts of all star routines a lot. At my CP's football game the other night the other school's cheerleaders used my CP's former gym's camp dance as their halftime routine. I assume they had permission but it was funny to see the direct copy. The fact it wasn't exactly appropriate for a high school football game is another story though
