That would be really rough going back to regular school after 5 years of homeschooling - (wasn't that the plot of the movie mean girls?). I liked the episode too.

Wonder if the regular schooling had to do w/ Gabi's return to her hometown? Maybe her mom didn't want her homeschooling anymore and Gabi wanted to do school in Florida instead?

I wonder if that Hart school is just the public school where that house is, or if it's a private school that is more flexible w/ their cheer schedule.

Wow over 20 pages or rumours, speculation & people thinking they know the story or what happened.
I am a little disappointed in some of the things I have read here but that is the nature of social media & everyone has an opinion to voice ;)
Let me enlighten you all a little.....
Dylan Grant (the Kiwi as everyone is calling him) is my son. He went to the USA to train/compete at the highest level in cheer. To think an athlete like my son cannot handle the workouts or is running away is crazy. It also has nothing to do with being in a different division like some have suggested. It has to do with him wanting to be the best he can be & make the most of his last year before he ages out next year, period. And he felt this wasn't going to happen where he was. I fully trust his judgement because he knows his ability & his sport.
He was with Smoed for 4 months & after being unhappy with several aspects of being in California since he arrived, a week ago he made the extremely difficult decision to leave Smoed & pursue other options in the USA. We understand that there will be many who will not fully understand this decision but he had to do what felt right for him. This was one of the hardest decisions he has ever had to make in his life. There will probably be a different version of events air on the show as like any reality type show they tend to manipulate things for the drama aspect.

As most of you are aware or have figured out.... this week he moved across the USA to North Carolina to join Cheer Extreme Allstars Coed Elite & will be continuing the season with CEA Coed Elite (this has been no secret, it has just not been commented on publicly) There were many many reasons for this move.
We are disappointed to see the reaction to this on social media by many people who we would expect better from. Some of the personal messages he received this week have been terrible. We will not be playing that game at all.
Dylan will continue to let his talent & skills on the floor do the talking.

I hope this clears a few things up ;)

Thanks for reading :D

Truly, I wish Dylan the best and I think you'll find that most of the tongue in cheek comments that may look insulting towards him, where actually sarcastic remarks made because of the show and how it's edited. IE, no one truly believes Dylan couldn't handle the SMOED work-outs...now if I had to do them? I'd probably die, Dylan, not so much.

I hope he enjoys his time in North Carolina---it's a gorgeous state and CEA should treat him well. I've actually enjoyed watching the two videos that have been posted so far. His talent is amazing and I hope he achieves whatever his last year goals happen to be.

I'm sorry he's been harassed for his decision, and I'm glad he's keeping his head up high. No one has to understand why he did it, only ya'll do.

Hope he has a successful season and I'll look forward to seeing him in COED elite videos from here on out. Like I said however many pages ago, this will be the first CEA team I've actively cheered on because of him. :)

Thanks!
I didn't actually mean I thought those comments were directed at him. Just for that to be said (as they do in the show) is crazy. I will be very interested in what spin they put on this for the show....they may dodge the subject altogether now though, who knows?

I don't think they can, and I only say this because he got his own specific episode and they're going to have to explain away his absence. I just hope whatever they do doesn't add more drama his way---clearly, something is going on behind closed doors in California. Dylan isn't the first to leave, and given the team's track record, probably won't be the last before World's.

Another thing - gabi said her and Angel lived together 3 years ago? What were the circumstances that led to that? Isn't Angel from Georgia? Or did she start somewhere else and move to be on Stingrays?

Angel cheered at Trinity two seasons ago and Gabi started there that summer before moving to Cali. It was probably then, when they were on the same team.

It appears to just be a normal public school from online.

NO SEATBELTS.....really?

I've noticed that a lot among all the seasons. Even the Twinkles documentary had a girl stretching while her mom drove. For some reason I don't think C wore one in the Nightline either...drives me nuts, but I notice it a lot.

I have noticed it forever too! It literally makes me cringe. I was glad to see that some of the girls were wearing it in the truck later in the episode, but still, it only takes a second and lives can be changed forever.

@obsessivecheer, I hope that Dylan enjoys every moment of his time at CEA. I also hope that you stick around for a bit. There are some CEA parents on here ( not me) who you might enjoy interacting with and this site is a great way to keep the comps from a far. Will you be coming to the US for any of them?

Hi... @obsessivecheer! It's me....best friend of Bad to the Bows!!! The CEA family will take very good care of Dylan!! Welcome to the family!!! Thank you mamabear!!!

@Obsessive Cheer your son is uber talented and not exactly hard on the eyes. He would do well in any program. If you haven't figured it out already, the "cheer world" in the U.S. Is a very large but small community. This board can get a little crazy, but you can always count on a lively discussion and lots of sarcasm. We are excited to have the "kiwi's" dad on here.

I only wish he would have headed much farther south. Black and Gold would look great on him! ;).

Stop trying to kidnap the Kiwi, Weezy!!!!

I don't have much as I am on what you call disability in the US so it is very hard to say at this stage.
I am hoping to be able to come over to see him at at least one comp but the first priority for us is to keep him there not spending thousands on travel for ourselves ;) I will probably send his twin sister over before myself as they have never been separated for this long ever.
