If movie Annie isn't played by Aileen Quinn then I simply am not okay with it.

I'm prepared to take my niece to see it and then immediately rush her home to watch the real deal on repeat

Side note. I'm glad Willow Smith dropped the role. Those Smith kids are so peculiar

No, literally can't wait. Cameron Diaz as Ms. Hannigan is just perfect. Not to mention my dance company did movie theme and my age group and tap class got Little Girls! And I was Molly in my fifth grade production of Annie Jr.

Annie is a big part of my life! Add that with Kanye and Jay and we have a great movie.

I was an Annie FREAK when I was younger oh lord. I asked for the cassette tape for Christmas one year and I played it until the tape inside snapped. I still know all the words to the songs. When I saw the trailer in August I screamed! I'm excited to see Annie as an updated, more modern story and to hear a new version of the songs

I grew up with Alicia Morton as my Annie, Kathy Bates as my Ms. Hannigan and Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth as my Rooster and Lily St. Regis. No one can ever replace them. (Also, the best friend in Lizzie McGuire played one of the orphans which I never realized until I re-watched it a couple of years ago.)

Side Note - Me too, girl. I'm glad she dropped the role. Annie is supposed to be cute, spunky, and lovable. I wouldn't use any of those words to describe Willow Smith...

Rather than double posting..... DID ANYONE WATCH HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER TONIGHT? THE ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: (Yes, I am yelling that.)

I have only ever watched the original Annie move, and I don't intend on ever changing that fact.

I've been so stressed this passed semester and my GPA is a 2.61.... This was the semester I really needed to do well in to bring my GPA up to get into the Sport Management program at FSU and it's not looking good right now :( Maybe 5 classes was a bad idea.. Can I just start college over :help:

No. Just... No. No one can ever replace the original cast. Carol Burnett, Bernadette Peters, Tim Curry, and Aileen can never be topped. Annie is not Annie with anyone else.

Same.

Carol Burnett scared me as a child and I can't see Tim Curry as anyone except doctor Frank-N-Furter or Nigel Thornberry... I do appreciate the original one but I grew up with other one so that's the one I'm used to :p But I do have both versions of the soundtrack on my iPhone.

While we're on the topic of musical remakes I am dreading the Peter Pan Live thing that NBC wants to do. The Sound of Music was SO BAD last year and Peter Pan was the other musical that defines my childhood. (Ok, wait I also forgot Joseph with Donny Osmond and Cats but only Act I.) They can't ruin this for me :( Peter Pan is perfect and doesn't need to be redone. I'm pretty sure the video clerk at the local Blockbuster kept the Mary Martin version around just for me when I was a kid. I rented it at least 20 times a year. And I still listen the to Cathy Rigby version. NBC please stop I'm begging you. Of course I'll watch it but I'm going to hate-watch it.

Just finished Federal Jury Duty - Trial lasted 3 days. I have a new respect for our Judicial System. It is not as easy as people think to have jurors come together to make a decision based on what evidence you are given based on the intepretation of the law and the instructions you are given by the judge. If anyone ever has a chance to serve, I suggest you do it. :)

Jury instructions can be the most convoluted mess you'll ever hear. They're always written in lawyer-ese instead of normal people-ese.
