If anyone likes matte lipsticks, I have to recommend the Stila stay all day liquid lipsticks. They are beautiful and seriously soooooo long wearing. I wore Beso (fire engine red color) out last weekend and it lasted through dancing, lots of drinks, a friend splitting her lip/getting stitches, and eating pizza over probably a 6 hour span with zero touchups. It looked exactly the same when I got home as it did when I left. I'm madly in love with them

Went to Ulta today and got the Lorac Pro palette and left. Later realized that it didn't come with brushes, so since we were still out there, we went back into Ulta and I got 2 It Cosmetics brushes (one of them was one of the Velvet Luxe brushes) for $31. I had 374 points, and that took $11 off. I'm so excited. I'm in love with these brushes already[emoji7]

This is exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks!!! [emoji4]

so i got the NARS virtual domination cheek palette in my stocking as a random gift (didn't ask for it) but it's nice! i don't know that i would have purchased it for myself, but i recommend it! there's a bigger section of bronzer, one highlighter and three blush colors.

and now i have a gift card to sephora: i need help picking out a foundation.

so, as most people in this thread probably know i am obsessed with all things tarte. unfortunately, the last tube or two of the amazonian clay liquid foundation i've purchased have been oxidizing like crazy. like i put them on and it's a match made in heaven; they match my skin perfectly. and then within an hour it turns orange and weird looking. my skin has also drastically changed in the last 6 months (cannot for the life of me figure out why) but i suddenly have the world's driest skin with little bumps EVERYWHERE... so the liquid is just making me look really flaky. add in the oxidation and i'm not too happy with it right now. i need something lighter, i think, so i was contemplating trying the tarte powder foundation. has anyone tried it? a while back i did use the whole bare minerals line and i loved it but i made a mess everywhere. and one time i had an ant problem and i came home from work and they built an anthill out of the foundation, so i'm scarred for life.

should i try the tarte powder?
I don't know anything about tarte (just got the amazonian clay and haven't used it yet), but I'm going to say try Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer (they have an oil free). It's amazing.

I'm obsessed with all things Laura Mercier. I don't always buy it because it's so pricy, but it is so worth it. If this amazonian clay doesn't turn out to be amazing, I'm going to give in and pay the money for the Laura Mercier Flawless Face kit again. It's seriously the greatest thing I've ever owned. It doesn't lie - face looks FLAWLESS.

I don't know how much your gc is, but I'm pretty sure sephora carries the flawless face kit.

Going off of your Laura Mercier recommendation, just wanted to say that the eyelash curler is THE BEST eyelash curler I've ever tried, and I've tried a ton of them. It's seriously amazing and even better if you heat it up with a blow dryer first.

if I had endless money, I'd use Dior AirFlash foundation every single day. but at $60+ a pop, it needs to last me more than 30 days. I've stretched the Dior to 60 days, but I still can't rationalize the cost for everyday makeup. I would like a more practical ($30-$40) option that lasts a little while. I wandered Sephora a bit today and tried out the bare minerals liquid foundation and it just felt gritty to me... almost like they tried to dissolve their powder foundation into lotion and it never dissolved all the way. so I crossed that one off the list of maybes. I'll definitely look into the Laura Mercier!

I think the AC foundation only oxidizes in some colors. The shade I buy in the summer never had this problem. My pale ("natural") shade keeps turning orange after an hour. I hope you like yours!

I'm so obsessed with my Lorac Pro to Go palette, I may never use any other eye makeup again. It's gonna be perfect for when I'm traveling because it's got literally everything I need, all eyeshadows, blushes, and the perfect contour color. It fits right in my makeup bag (an old sample bag from Ulta, so you know its small) and I can also fit all the brushes I need, eyeliner, foundation, primer, and liquid highlighter, and mascara. If you love your Urban Decay, you're gonna be obsessed with Lorac. I thought I would never find anything to replace my naked palette, but once I hit pan on my Naked, I may not replace it now

I went to Ulta today...and bought REAL makeup. The last time I went to Ulta was at least 2001 (before cp 13 was born).
That place is so dangerous. I only bought two things.
BareMinerals starter set (I was using cover girl but even the sensitive blend was making me itch)
Smashbox Mascara
I almost bought the Naked 3 palette but realized I would have no idea what to do with it. My 13 year old would have snatched it up.
I may buy a couple more things online....

If you do decide to get the naked palette, you can find a million how-to's on pinterest and YouTube to help you figure out what to do with it.

I second this!!! They're fantastic. I have a bright red and a pinky-red and they're both amazing. One night I fell asleep in it, on accident, and woke up with it still on lol

Here is where I get confused...brushes. I need to watch some Youtube people to figure out which ones to get.
I think I might order some of the UD makeup setter, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer, a eyelash curler, some brushes, and a palette . I got a new job at work where I have to meet with directors and senior VP's all day, so my old "bedside nurse" look of no makeup and messy bun have to go. The hair really isn't as big a deal as the looking ready to meet the CEO if I have to. I still have my RN on my badge so I get some leeway.
Can anyone suggest Youtubers to watch? I found one that appears to work at Ulta (Shelbey Ashburn) that I really like.

MakeupByTiffanyD is wonderful and most of her tutorials are work-friendly!

I got the Naked2 whenever it came out (probably years ago at this point?) and still have it; it looks almost completely unused. All 3 Naked palettes are beautiful and of fantastic quality and if you wear eye shadow, I absolutely believe they are worth it. But mascara is about the extent of my daily eye makeup. I only put eyeshadow on for an occasional night out. In hindsight, it may not have been worth the expense for me. So, if you're like me, I can think of lots of other things to spend that money on in Ulta... but if you use eyeshadow regularly, they are fantastic.

If you just need help with which colors to apply where, try youtube or even pinterest! I always come across little diagrams illustrating where each color should go that are helpful.

I just did damage on Ulta.com....it could have been worse.
I got the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Neutralizer
bareMinerals Kissing Booth Lip Gloss set
Flirty Eyes eyelash curler with refill
UD Travel size setting spray (All Nighter)
bareMinerals Blush in Vintage Peach
GWP bareMinerals 5 in 1 cream eye shadow
Free Variety Sampler

Oh and I got free shipping!
