What is your second option? And could you possibly go for a teaching job in a different field? Or what about a different country?

I have worked in retail for 8 years so my other option would be going into retail management which is kind of like a degree you get while working for a company and getting paid. Becoming a teacher is kinda complicated here, i don't know how long it takes in the US but over here it's a long process and its not really worth spending much more time on it knowing there are no jobs out there. Other countries were also a thought of mine and i have looked into it aswell but it's just as bad. I guess it's bad luck i'm only good ad english and german and not latin, maths or physics haha

I feel like the faculty of my program is trying to punish us for some reason by scheduling our wound care class right before lunch...

It's also really sad how excited I am to have 3 hour classes this semester, since they were all 4 hours last semester. Grad school problems.

There is literally 2> inches of snow on the ground here in Northern VA and you'd think the effing world ended.
Haha, yea people here don't really know what to do in the snow. Even though it's a fairly common occurrence so I'm not sure why. I really don't know why 66 hadn't even been touched (plowed or salted) at 8 AM this morning, there was an accident like every mile from Fairfax in, people are crazy. It took me over 2 hours to get in to DC this morning, it was ridiculous. Although I'm glad I left when I did because there is now 6 inches at my house and there was only 2 when I left.

How long would it take to to finish your whole teaching education (or the next step)? Because if it didn't take too long I'd definitely finish that first and then go into retail management. If anything happens you have a degree completed that you could always rely on. And who knows what will happen in your future? You might need it.

Are you PT or OT? I remember it was something like that? My daughter finally decided on OT so hopefully things don't change again, but since she got Chem 2 done - I think things are decided and this is what she is going to do.

I'm PT! Great for her, I'm glad she has decided on something she likes!

I am at a point in my life where i need to make a decision about where my life is supposed to go career wise and i feel really confused and lost right now. I always thought i was going to be a teacher, but there are basically no jobs in that field with the subjects i study , now i am looking into something i always wanted to do but never really followed through because applying for college was just easier. I could still do it i think but i don't know if i'm too old or good enough and also if i do that i will be done with cheer for good as the job won't leave any time for it and i can't wrap my head around that yet. There is so much anxiety and crazyness going on in my head right now and i can't really talk to anyone. Not a good day today at all. Sorry for the rant

i dont know much about the economy over there, but my FI has a business management degree and hes never had problems finding something that pays very well and what not. retail management doesnt seem to far off from that. Also teaching i dont think pays well in any country now a days, i was gong to do the same thing and become a teacher, but went for a math based degree instead cause i can do more with it.

So I'm irritated because under a HS comp video on Twitter, some girl commented "that's not HS cheer, that's HS cheer trying to be competitive". GIVE. ME. A. BREAK.

Some people REALLY need to educate themselves on cheer history.
Whoaaaa someone on my team said that small world. Yeah I was confused by her comment. She does hs & allstar so idk what she meant by that

Thanks :) I am excited for her I think it is a good choice - alot of school left but in the end it will be worth it. Good Luck!
Thanks! I only have 1 year left and most of that time will be spent in clinic, but I can promise that all of the hard work really will all be worth it at the end!

Yikes, stay safe! And kick booty this weekend.
