so everyone here wants to see my plan. Okay yes i'm a 18 year old who's crazy for doing this. Not going to lie i will make a lot of mistakes as a first time owner and program that's the truth. I also believe because i don't really want to make money out of it the business side of this is boarding to me but something i have to really look into it more. I'm doing it for my community and for the love of the sport. like i said I'm opening my program with level ones teams mini and youth only.

1. get fully certified

(during this time i'm going to ask for advice from other gyms and programs that are doing the same thing that i want to do)

2. get a business lawyer who has work with others gyms start working on the paperwork

3. register my program with usasf

4. get my stuff of two. A office assistant who will hand all money and paper work. a second coach to help with the two teams.

5. start advertising and recruiting

6. have a parent meeting before joining the program letting them know what's all star? Why i'm doing this ? my background in cheer and gymnastics. and schedules

7.officially open the program with practices

8. fundraisers and more advertising

I'm not opening a big program with over 500 kids and hoping to go worlds. I'm starting a small one do you guys get it know i'm not really opening a business in the way i see it if there anything that i miss or should add to my list please tell me and thank you for all who had help me

Another thing to think about:

How are the future parents of your program going to feel about it once they read this, because make no mistake someone from your program WILL see it, and WILL share it with the other parents. Is this how you want to present yourself to potential customers??

i really don't care at this point this is cheer mom drama you can keep on posting things all day about that i'm too young and dumb hey let's see his past postings but why what do you get out of it. you're all grown women and men with kids cyber billing a 18 year with a dream and trying to make it real. This is just a eye opener that others will look down at me and my program before they even see it i want to thank you for that

i really do feel almost everyone on here it's a Cheer Perfection Mom making drama for fun and i will do everything in my power to make sure that the future parents of my program won't end up like this

You do realize cheer moms are your target market, right?

Beyond that, I have no words. No one is bullying you. I personally was just suggesting that you consider professionalism when using social media related to your industry.

What has ANYONE said that REMOTELY suggests any of this???? You asked for advice. Advice was given. A few things were confusing so people asked for clarification.

Ok just stop now. I know, it can seem like everyone is being mean to you, I have been there too... although I'm a cheer mom. You got some good advice, take it and move on. Don't carry on fighting here, you will not win. People will post pictures of cats and you won't even understand why. I still don't. Best of luck with your teams!

I doing think anyone asked for your plan, said you would fail because of your age. You asked for advice and a lot of very knowledgable people offered it. You became very defensive when you didn't like some of the advice. Everyone would love to see this program succeed but also want to make sure you know what you are getting into with it.

Very sorry you have a different opinion on what may be happening but regardless of how you think we are behaving as a potential business owner and role model for the kids you need to keep your composure and show them how it is done or one of your fears (how the kids may be treated or talked about by others) may come true.

Good luck.

it wasn't the advice it was "you mentioned something about transportation issues (may have been another thread). If you are having trouble getting yourself where you need to be, I feel it is going to be very difficult to be able to run a gym successfully." yes i had transportation issues but the way she put it pinched a nerve the rest just made me mad. yes i'm sorry for the cheer mom thing but trying to say that i want cheer gym owners' advice over anyone else's

and the me being to young was because of last time looking back it trying to put a all star cheer program in a few weeks was really dumb but now i have the time to do everything right

i'm half half asleep right now

But, YOU asked what cheer moms/dads like about their program. You never asked for gym owners/coaches advice. It wasn't until someone tagged them that you got some of their advice.

Honestly transportation is a valid question/concern since it had previously been an issue.

On that note, never transport your athletes. Raises too much liability on your part.
