OT The Dance Moms Thread!

Just watched it. 60 minutes of my life (well maybe 45 what with FF the commercials) I can't get back but at least I was folding laundry while watching.
I am so disappointed in Holly. I truly thought she had so much more integrity and intelligence than all the others put together (despite her continuing to stay on this show) but she is just like the rest of them.

At this point, I wouldn't be mad if the show ended. I honestly just want to see the dances but that is like a second thought to the show now. It's turning into "Stage Moms" rather than "Dance Moms". This is not what I signed up for. I'm over it. Who knew Maddie would ever end up being my favorite.

OMG, I was just thinking the same thing, this show is starting to be more about everything, but dance... Now, everybody wants to be in Hollywood, do videos singing and read scripts to be on movies, etc...I vote for renaming the show to STAGE MOMS!!!

Maddie is the only one without a song/music video in the making and I kinda really respect that. She just wants to dance. (But I understand that she's had a ton of opportunities on the world stage and doesn't need to be a triple threat to get noticed like the other girls do.) She seems to look more and more uncomfortable when Abby gloats about her successes and that's kind of nice to see that there is still a little bit of humble-ness there. I think once I learned to spectate my hatred of Abby from her love of Maddie, I started to love Maddie a lot more.

She's going to be on Austin and Ally (it's about some Justin Bieber type kid). She was on Drop Dead Diva and a couple web shows too.

I try to keep in mind that goes girls are Twinkles/Youth Elite aged kids who are being bent and posed by grown-ups. It's so difficult sometimes. I'm waiting for McKenzie's full-on teenage rebellion...it's coming. I wouldn't be surprised if they televise it.

The show's become the "Abby You're Awful" show. Production is so lazy, they're not even pretending that the show is about dance. It's about "how much money can we make off of our kid while this show is still on the air" and they're not hiding it!

I think with some acting classes and hard work Maddie could be a decent actress. Not an A-List actress but decent. I think she could probably hold her own on a drama series or in a couple episodes of Law and Order. I couldn't see her doing comedy though. Kind of like Dakota Fanning but not as good.

And yeah I could definitely see her playing a victimized kid on Law and Order SVU or a nearly dead, tragically injured kid on Grey's Anatomy.
