Eta

I didn't look under the competitions sub forum is why oops

The bob haircut has come back to bite me in the butt this year as they are making me curl it. It looks really cute when it's done but it takes soooo much longer than a pony to curl.

There was a wave of bob cutting this year at CP's gym and the owner sent out an e-mail that said even if your hair is bobbed it has to be curly. ;)

My child, with her beautiful red hair (she bobbed it and donated a FOOT in honor of Ashley Fritts when she was battling cancer), is actually waiting to hear if the gym gets rid of the "bump" or "poof" for next year before she decides to grow it back or not!! I was heartbroken when she cut it, but when an 8 year old wants to cut her hair and donate in honor of a friend fighting cancer???? You let her cut it and love her heart.

**now, I hope the poof goes away, and we get long hair back. But the headbands are MUCH easier than bows and ponies for dad!

So my cp tells me you are going to be there live and in person?
We are! My CP was so burned out with AS cheer and wanted to take a break but was upset because she wouldn't get to see her friends at NCA since she wouldn't be competing this year. I told her we could make it a girl's weekend and go since it's only a 3-hour drive to Dallas :)

ETA: I do have to admit that I'm kinda glad she's not competing this year....her team goes on at 7:48!

Can someone who lives in the Dallas area help me out? We are only bringing our level 5 team to NCA and we want to do a team dinner with them on Saturday night. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant for us to go to? We are staying at the Doubletree Hilton Dallas-Richardson. We are night right near the convention center. Anyone familiar with that area?

There are quite a few cool restaurants within walking distance to the CC. Depending on how many you have, I would suggest the Hoffbrau House. It is a tradition with our team and the athletes really like it. They have an upstairs that might be able to accommodate you all.

I'm not from the area, but in my business travels I've stopped at Palio's Pizza before. The one in Richardson is nice for a "team" dinner (unless you are a gym that brought 10 large teams).

If I remember correctly, you can bring your own wine bottles in "BYOB" which is a big bonus. Great selection of normal to specialty pizza, pastas, salads etc.

Haven't been to NCA in a long time. Do they still announce scores right after you compete? I cant remember if they still do that or not.
