Update on my medicine: (if you were wondering... lol) My doctor asked if I was willing to try Adderall again since he has no record of me being on it before (new doctor, new city, and new insurance and they tried to switch me to Adderall sometime in middle school so it's been awhile since I tried it) I'm taking it twice a day now and its actually working for me without that nasty crash headache thing that my Vyvanse was giving me every night. I found a coupon online that I can use every time I get my prescription filled forever, which was actually cheaper than what my insurance covered of the Adderall.... SO YAY! Problem solved! I just don't understand why my insurance doesn't cover any part of Vyvanse but they will cover about 50% of the Adderall. I need to stop stressing myself out about small things....

I work in a pharmacy so I deal with this everyday but they probably aren't covering Vyvanse because it is a brand name and there is no generic version of it, which makes it really expensive. Adderall, on the other hand, has a generic which cuts down the cost that the insurance had to pay. I'm glad the Adderall is working for you!

Update- I didn't make NCA staff. :( Bummed about that and I'm super annoyed bc my dad opened the letter for me while I was at comp yesterday. But we won yesterday so it ended up being a pretty good day regardless. Guess I need to start looking for a summer job :/

I know you seemed pretty excited about making NCA staff, it's a bummer you didn't make it. :(

I was super excited that they considered me and I think I would've really enjoyed it but I guess it just wasn't meant to be! It is what it is. I'm disappointed but there's nothing I can do except move on. I might try out again next year but keeping my skills up is going to be really difficult so I'm not sure if I'll go for it again. We'll see :)

ahh the lovely joys of adderall, i took it through college, was first prescribed vyvanse and had the same horrendous feeling once it wore off. adderall did the same thing but to a lesser degree though. some how i pushed through taking it everyday for my final semester. its an awesome drug for studying, lol. but im glad i dont have to take it anymore, the side effects almost werent worth it.

It's only the second day of lent and I've already messed up...I gave up meat and bread (did meat last year and my weird competitive self wanted to one-up that this year) and I forgot that pita is bread and had some with my lunch. Oh well, I guess I'll go an extra day after Easter...
On another note, it's a sunny 73 degrees here today and I've never been so thankful to live in SoCal than while reading this thread.

@CAmom66 just out of curiosity, why did you rate this as gossip?
ETA: I have now forgotten pita is bread 3 times since Lent began...

I didn't realize how awful my Vyvanse side effects were until I stopped taking it. So far the adderall isn't as bad at the end of the night and I can actually sleep! Vyvanse made me feel like a complete zombie and the side effects were terrible. I went off of it in October and I've gained 30+ pounds, and could literally not focus on anything for more than .5 seconds, I would start bio homework, get like 1 question done that took me forever, and then start english then go back to bio then go to speech back to bio and back to english back to speech... or something like that. It was AWFUL. And my stomach turned into a bottomless pit. I was never NOT hungry and it wasn't like "oh you can wait" it was like "oh you just finished dinner two minutes ago? time for chips!"... I hope I never have to stop medicine ever again... and hopefully I will lose at least a little of this weight I've gained, and my grades will go back up.

It is 4:28 in the morning and I just finished my last yearbook page ever. We publish tomorrow. I didn't think it'd be this sad... I don't think there's a time in your life more bittersweet than graduating high school.
Congrats! My oldest was very involved with her yearbook the past few years and was features editor this year (she is also a senior). There is definitely something very bittersweet about finishing it, but you will have something tangible to represent all the time you spent working on making an incredible keepsake for yourself and everyone else in your graduating class.

I was stuck at the studio yesterday, inventorying costumes (of which we have millions apparently) and taking some to storage. One of the girls brought me girl scout cookies to help keep me going (she lives upstairs from the studio). She asked if she could put on these tutu's. I said, "All of them?"

Apparently yes. All of them. [emoji3]

I was an Editor in Chief my senior year! So much work goes into the yearbook and you don't even realize until you're in it that it needs to be done so early in the school year!

I fishtailed into a snowbank last night, even with snow tires on my car (I'm fine and my car is fine). Winter needs to end now.

Glad you're okay, that is so scary! We are so done with it all too. We got about another half a foot yesterday and the kids had a 2 hour delay for school today. It took my friends 7 hours to get home from upstate NY (usually a 3-4 hour trip) because there were so many accidents. And more in the forecast here for Thursday night. My new motto is "keep the snow on the ski slopes".
