All-Star Coach "x"

My girls all call me by my first name, high school and allstar ones. However when I was in high school I called my allstar coaches by first name and my high school coach Mrs ---

Yeah, where I coach (its not an allstar gym) I go by Miss Nicole, as do all the other teachers.

I know the stars call Elaine "Ms. P" or "Ms. Pascal"

I have known my coach since she was still a cheerleader in her mothers gym lol so she is just Carrie to everyone we also call all of our coaches and owner by first name.... sometimes when I like to annoy Carrie when she says something I will go "yesssss coachhh carrieee" the younger ones usually call all the coaches by "coach so and so" or "miss so and so"

Coach cristi was my coach for awhile and since we had so many Cristis in the gym we called her COACH...plus she coached half the gym at the time. It has stuck every since and now I get annoyed when people call others just coach....there's only one "coach" haha.
My minis called me Miss Becca.
I call my current coach by her first name.
I called my Cheerforce coaches mom and dad.

First name only. I've had classes where the teacher required all the students to refer to each other by last name. She thought it showed respect but I think that reasoning can't really apply to the youth of today. A name is a name.

At my gym we're all on first name basis. At my school it's either Coach X or Mrs./Mr./Ms. X. Occasionally there will be a coach that is on first name basis but only during said sport.

i swear, when ihear the name theapia, i just feel like she demands respect. i always her mohawk calling her that and i never once thought that she wouldnt get respect, even though we've both called all of our other coaches coach ______

I always addressed my Pop Warner and high school coaches as "Coach FirstName" while I only used my All Star coaches first names. As a Pop Warner coach now, my kids either use my first name or throw "Coach" before it; it doesn't matter much to me and I never bothered to set a rule on it.

at my gym we normally call our coaches Miss___ or we just go by their first name.

I think it depends on the level of respect that a team has with their coach ... if they are just going to fool around and not listem they might just call them by their first name but if the coach wants the cheerleaders to be seen as the athletes and the coach as the coach then they might want to be called coach .....

at the gyms i have cheered at for all stars it has always been first name only .... its just what they wanted and sometimes we would joke around and call them coach first depends on what the coach wants i guess

My high school coach has a nickname that everyone calls her (just a shortened version of her name) and the other one we just call by her first name.

totally agree!!

We just call my coaches by their first name. Even in school cheer, because our coach also coaches at Twist and Shout. But usually the younger teams at my gym will say miss before the name. (Miss Shelby, Miss Autumn, ect.)

First name for the most part. Some junior kids say "Coach X" but I rarely hear it. Minis/tinys use both "Coach X" and Miss X.
