1) even If you would have asked me last year I would never admit that I knew my entire gym was the absolute ISH last year

2) whenthe entire cheersport warm up room watched my senior 4 in amazment during our whole warm up (including the coaches room upstairs) I pretended that I didnt notice but I saw everyone starring

3) I LOVED it ^^

4) I bawled the entire rest of the day after my very last time competing

5) I also cried when My senior 4 won cheersport last year

I remember everything from choreography camp, even months later, every original count, and it drives me insane when other people don't remember. Especially if they won't listen to me even though its been established that my brain holds every cheer count I've ever learned. It also really bothers me when things become way different from the choreographer's original choreography. I feel like... Why hire a choreographer if you're gonna rechoreograph yourself...

THIS. YES.

1. I can't watch other people tumble when it is a level 5 skill or a skill they have never done or are uncertain about.
2. I don't like it when people at cheer call me by my first name, last name only please ;)
3. I won't watch other teams back stage, I am a strong believer in focusing on our own team.
4. I love wearing my cheer make up, hair and uniform, which I didn't love and appreciate until after I had to take a year off
5. I used to say I would never cheer past 18 because it was time for me to grow up... I just turned 20 and i'm back on the mat... :p
6. I bawled my eyes out my last year cheering and at worlds when I found out my team got 8th place (and I am not a crier). I never thought in my life I would be up on that stage with the best teams in the country. Our whole team was so excited and emotional, you'd think we had gotten first. Such an incredible experience.

-I despise competitions when there is no bathroom from the warmups to the back o the stage.
- I may have cried myself to sleep the night I found out I wasn't going to worlds. It's ok cause it all worked out in the end, I got to go to my senior prom and then super senior and go to worlds the next year :)
-I get so anxious backstage that I often find myself hating cheerleading and asking why I ever put myself through this. But when I get off the stage I love every minute of it.

confessions of a retired cheerleader...

by the end of my senior year i hated cheerleading. i was so incredibly burnt out and i resented cheerleading for making me miss senior year things. at the end of that season, i was so happy i was done.

now 5 years later, i'd do anything to go back.

as much as i want to go back, i was asked to be on a level 6 team this season and i refused after internet stalking them to find: a. they're one of those janky level 6 teams that competes in high school gyms that i make fun of and hold my breath while they compete because someone might break their necks, b. their website boasts about their 542 national titles. sorry billy bob's nationals don't count, and c. i'm pretty sure there might have been some zebra in the uniform. i miss cheer, but not that much.

yes that makes me a cheer snob.

i would love to coach in the future, but i'm afraid i'll be terrible at it.

This was me this past weekend. Our routine this year is the absolute most difficult routine we've ever been given. It's definatly the most difficult i've ever done and it freaks me out even though I KNOW we can hit it. We had to wait so long before we could start warm ups and I just wanted to be done competing and go home and sleep. After warm ups, I sat there seriously questioning my life choices and why I torture myself. By the time I got off the mat, I forgot all about that.

-this is bad but when i see a team stretching in warm ups i always judge them by their uniform. if there uniform looks good i assume their really good and if i don't like it i assume their bad idk why maybe its just me.
-when i was younger and on like a level 3 team i would walk in the arena with my ipod in and listen to my music and pull my arms like a full to intimated people
- i stalk my competitions facebooks/youtubes/twitters looking for a video of them
- and i may or may not of gone in the mens room in warm ups because there was no one in there and the girls room line was way to long..

1. My mom still curls my hair and we fight every single time. I'm actually scared now that if we don't fight something will go wrong on competition day.
2. I HATE when someone on my team's hair is curled poorly/has flyaway hairs, and i WILL call them out on it.
3. I own two of the same pair of underwear and I've worn them at every competition for the past four years. Two pairs for two day comps.
4. My mom is the video mother and I get so mad at her when her video comes out bad because I need to analyze my entire performance right after I compete.
5. At high school States last year I may or may not have left the awards ceremony after my team was called in 3rd place as I was crying so hard I was hyperventilating.
6. I always watch the other teams during warm ups even when I'm not supposed to, but I will never watch competitors actually compete on the floor.
7. I am writing these during AP Lang class and will probably get in trouble if I don't start actually working on my paper that is due on Friday. So I will continue later.

My confession: I have brought AP Lang homework to a cheerleading competition? ... cheerleader problems
