So, here's my beef. And let me start off with this disclaimer: I LOVE JERSEY. Seriously, y'all are a bomb team and I love that routine. It's got so much fierceness you could swim in it..I just have a small complaint (this is more about legalities and they provided an example, it's nothing on the coaches/gym/athletes. Just for clarity!).
But: They do that sponge toss half turn to prone position. It's basically a helicopter, but not (very pretty, by the way). If this whole 'catcher at the head and shoulder area' is SUCH a big deal, why are moves like this legal, but the helicopter isn't?!? Many times, the height they're getting off of those is MORE than what you get on a helicopter. This is mostly frustration, and I happened to notice this move today.. I also just have a huge issue with prone landings in general..didn't they decide halfway through one year that prone landings weren't a big deal anymore? But they throw the smack down on this routine and suddenly everyone just accepts it and nods their heads? I'm sorry, I just find this incongruous with how things are handled.
