Go to the dollar store and get plastic ponchos. They are small enough to put in your backpack and will keep you dry in case of an emergency. I highly recommend a pair of flip flops too so you can change and keep your cheer shoes dry.

if your competing at UCA, make sure your CP attends the orientation, its the only way to get the UCA drawstring bag. Found this out the hard way this year.

I'd shimmy this a hundred times if I could. I should dig through old cheer photos of ex-cp and team at Americheer one year - we used plastic garbage bags as rain ponchos. And those were the good ole days of cheer curlz too...

Be aware that getting to and from anywhere using Disney transportation is easy but takes time. Assume you will need to change busses at least twice And budget 20 minutes waiting time to catch each bus. In other words leave tons of time to get places to reduce your stress.

Does each team attend orientation together? Our girls are arriving all over the place Thursday and Friday. Just wondering if its something CP can do by herself while we wait for everyone to get there.

Yes, they do them every half hour I think it is. It's really fast (just going over rules and such) and then they get a bag and lots of free goodies.
