From what I understand, the highest gets the paid. The first 4 AL go to the other levels (that didn’t get paid). The 5th AL goes to the next highest team, any level. So not necessarily the same level as the paid bid.
Ok. I know in the lower levels, you could cross multiple levels (ie crossing from s4 to j2). I wonder if d2 will allow 6 to 4 this year. I’m being told d1 will not
sorry if this has been asked before, but with the new levels, would an athlete in a worlds team (sr small coed 6 for example) be able to cross over to a level 4 summit team? I think no, but someone said there was an exception?
The way it was explained to us is that you had to be in the age range for at least 1 day in the year that summit takes place (2020 for the upcoming season). Being that the birthday is 1/1, i'm not sure how that works. we have an athlete turning 17 on 1/2 and i know she's ok for international junior
In our gym, we have several teams that are in the same level ( S2 and J2, S4 and J4 for example). It seems the athletes (and the parents) are getting very competitive with each other, though the teams don't compete directly at all. Much talk of "J2 outscored S2" etc. I feel like with summit bids...
exactly. even at the really big comps {NCA} there are divisions with 1 or 2 teams. Regionally, I have seem 9-10 divisions with just 1 team. When my daughter won a jacket against no one, it was a little embarrassing. Fortunately, they were the highest scoring team in the whole level, so they...
At the last 4 comps I have attended, I have seen an increasing number of divisions with one team in it. National Champion jackets earned by outscoring no one. There are summit divisions currently with one team in them. Will they even have that division at summit if there is one team? Why does...
Yes the upcoming comp info. They used to have the teams attending listed way before EP released schedule to public. Now, for example, the performance order for Athletic Rhode Island is on the website, but still no participant info on road to worlds site.
