Team snap and private FB groups by gym and team. The FB group by team was by far the best option because parents were more comfortable asking questions or voicing concerns because it was secluded to just the moms on their kids team. Team snap is not as easy to communicate back on...great for...
I hope it will! We have a whole bunch of moms trying to figure out if showing up 4 hours before performance time will be early enough to get in to be able to see their kids.

Small Y1 has 74 wild card bids, 25 paid and 55 at large for a whopping 154 teams competing for 14 teams from semi-finals and 3 from wild card round. If I’m reading the FAQ right, 17 out of 154 Y1 teams will compete at finals?
The FAQ says divisions with 56+ will have 50% with a max of 14...
Thanks for that info!
What I was curious about was if there were no paid bid, 20 athletes and 3 coaches, $325 in “coaches fees & swag” seems high.
Squad then gets a paid bid which includes 2 coaches so that should be 1208 refund to the already paid for “coaches fees” right?

Yeah, I agree that would be a challenge! But I have to believe that there are stats out there somewhere with numbers. Companies, businesses, whatever love measureables...

Maybe this was asked before, but... does anyone know how many squads compete for a D2 bid? Or how many total squads (including squads that attempt multiple times)?

The only “problem” I see with your solution is the secrecy of scores... it would be great to see the scores of all the squads you’re competing against. I mean, I know the coaches get scores but how many are sharing with the kids? Are the coaches just making changes to routines based on scores...
Since you already have some exposure to the cheer world, you may want to try reaching out to some already established gym owners (probably not a direct competitor!). It may surprise you how open some of them are and some of them may even let you spend a couple of days with them to show you the...
I don’t have a whole lot of advice to offer, however I thought I’d give a little bit of positivity. You do need to think about the operational costs of running a business, supplies matter too especially when trying to establish a budget. If you are serious about opening a new gym, make sure to...
This reminds me of when I was turning 16 and getting my drivers permit the state was passing bills to not allow 17 year olds to have a “normal” drivers license. At that time it was important to me because I was so close to the cut off age. Fortunately I made the cut off, but a lot of my friends...
I completely understand the frustration of this is what was supposed to be next for my athlete. Changes happen, and change is hard, it’s how we get through the changes that makes us who we are. If my daughter was on this cusp for next year, I imagine the kind of conversation I would have with...
My CP is on a youth team and the whole team is within a year in age. They practice as a team, they play as a team, they compete as a team and they hang out outside of the gym as a team. We have 12 year olds on junior and senior teams, and those girls never really fit in anywhere as a “team”...
