Don't worry Allstars
Remember the high school
Updated rules were
Released
Before yours they have taken a great # of skills away the past two
Years - tumbling and basket
Tosses will be
On the chopping block next in my
Opinion
How come a teacher can't coach - my assistant coach is an English teacher in the school but cheered competitively for all stars and her
College - I'm confused how she
Wouldn't be qualified solely on the fact she teaches in the school. I also
Love how no Allstars programs have less then perfect...
Lol I was kinda thinking the same so now the teams pushing skills will be doing inversions that will be scary/unsafe and the skilled teams will do these easily and those same teams won't be able to do double downs hmmm I'm scratching my head on this - confused at the logic
I want to move my team to
Your state ;). On a good note a lot of varsity brands offer Various divisions so we can compete. States is the only big one we get pressure from our school to go but we aren't up to that level. I wish our school would just understand states is not for everyone ;)
Sparkle spankies - I'm guessing your team is competitive level with enough girls at tryouts to field a full varsity team if not maybe even a jv team? Another side is the high schools
Where cheer is not huge but the girls
Who are on the team love their sport -
They love games
AND competition -...
While I'm on my soap box I just got back from day one of
Our states competition and let me tell you double downs are the least of the safety problems --- i actually disnt see one that made me cringe today but how about tucks that don't set and come about 3" from the ground? How about simple...
I see high school
Cheerleading getting to the point where they take everything away and we are side lines only. Funny there are injuries with football too but there isn't a ruling hey take tackling out that's dangerous and some coaches just aren't trained well enough ...for the love our sport...
I too would love to see the stats on injuries on mat vs non matted surfaces and see if the issue is performance surface or non educated coaching (which I think is more of the issue). Why not address the real issue and get education for coaches.
Also to reply to just doing simple easy stuff...
Which again makes no sense - so a full up is less advanced then a prep full down - me personally our full ups have far more issues than our full downs from any position - there is no way I would even have my team working a full up if they had not first mastered a simple prep
Full down lol
Personally the rule
Is crazy think about it you can't full down from
A prep without a mat - seriously its
Not even an elite skill - most novice
Levels in our area you perform
The skill it makes zero sense to me
:-/. Let us coach and make approp decisions
I can't believe how
Many falls the level 4 division was
Prob the worst with stunts not hitting and quit honestly a little
Frightening at times with fliers actually hitting the ground :-/
