I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I just want to confirm-- is a 2 man prep legal in level 1 if one base has 1 hand on the foot and the other on the ankle? This base would be positioned to the side of the stunt like a regular base.

Also, can they then bump to a teddy bear/straddle sit with only 2 bases?

As far as I know you can do a regular 1/2 without a back as long as it is not used as a bracer. As a bracer, it would need to be "hands" with a back/side spot; meaning one base would hold both feet (one in each hand) and the other base would either stand behind and back spot, or stand on the side and hold toe/ankle and leg or whatever.
I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH. That's my take on the rule.
