Here we go again..... So what are you saying? Super Seniors are amazing and have won every comp(except the majors) this season and have a full paid bid to worlds. Fame Celebrities have had a rough season with flyers coming out of stunts(they are all new to sr level 5 flying) but have atleast 10 doubles out of 20 on team, a bunch of standing fulls, a whole team of 3 to fulls etc, Fame Notorious- hmmmmm what can I say- they are AMAZING!!! So when you make a general comment please take into account that these kids are happy with the teams they are on and your opinion is not needed. Fame has over 800 athletes(rough estimate) so OBVIOUSLY they are doing something right. They have trained my cp from day one and she is 10 throwing punch to dubs, working 3 to dubs, 5 jumps to tuck, 1 to full, arabian through to full, kick doubles, double ups, etc. Let me put this nicely - mind your business. Who do you cheer for? So I can critique and slam them every chance I get. I will never understand someone so negative on a program that they have never been a part of. Heck have you ever even seen them in person????

I understand why you get heated when negative comments are made about Fame, I understand that you have a connection to those athletes, but like it's been stated, I wasn't talking about Super Seniors, Celebrities, Notorious, whoever. I was talking about Perfection. I never said that Fame isn't doing something right, I don't discredit the success of the gym, but putting athletes that are mostly level 4 into level 5 is just asking for disappointment. The cheerleading industry has this obsession with level 5 and with Worlds that the second a team has a few level 5 skills, they're level 5. The senior restricted 5 division was created for a reason, and I think Fame Perfection is a perfect example of the need for that division. They are throwing majority (aside from maybe jumps to back, I didn't count) level 4 skills, with the exception of some level 5 stunting, and a bit of level 5 tumbling. To me, hearing those facts, I think senior restricted 5. I do apologize if the comment was taken towards the other Fame teams by anyone else, as well. I figured the comment being after a grouping of videos (and me trying to save scrolling time by not quoting all 3 videos) people would see that it was pertaining to those, but I see how that assumption was wrong.
As for you saying I always talk bad about your gym, I specifically remember ONE occasion that anything overly bad has come from me towards the gym, and it wasn't the gym, it was the choreography one member of a team was given to do. Mind my business? If you would like me to mind my business and stop commenting on the videos put out by your gym, STOP PUTTING THEM OUT.

SICK. Love the pyramid.

And whoever teaches twisting in stunts at Rockstar (double downs, full-ups, baskets) needs to go on a nationwide tour and teach every gym in America.

Aww thank you for your compliments! I don't mind sharing what we do at Rockstar. When I started Rockstar 5 years ago I decided that there had to be a Rockstar way to everything we do. We teach the Rockstar way in every aspect of skills to every team. That way, when the athletes progress they're used to the Rockstar way. Another thing we do is we only have 4 all-star coaches and 2 tumbling instructors. The same 4 coaches coach all 4 teams. Everyone coaches Levels 1-5. I believe you become a more well-rounded and efficient coach when you have to coach all ages and all levels. You learn to figure out different methods of coaching to reach each age group and each level.

I also feel that it's important how you choose all-star coaches as a team of coaches. It really is one unit that works together to achieve the same goals the same Rockstar way. Pick coaches who can do everything but that are specialist in some area. I like to use my approach to a coaching staff to that of a football team. Football staffs have Offensive Co-ordinators, Defensive, Special teams, head coaches. Most of those coaches can coach every aspect of football but they're specialists in one area.

I'm the building guru at Rockstar. I make up most of the pyramids and teach alot of the stunts. I've been coaching since 1995 and I cheered at Louisville. I learned from the best James Speed. So, naturally my strength is building skills. I teach alot skills clinics here at Rockstar with School teams, etc. My wife Kathy is also strong at building skills but great at hitting the score sheet. Joe & Shannon are all around good at skills but their strength is dance, choreography, transitions & routines. They amaze me all the time with their dances and their all-around choreography. They both know how to construct and develop a routine. Dustin & Shane are our tumbling coaches. They're great at what they do and they focus solely on tumbling. They can coach as well, but focus on tumbling.

We all have to believe and share the philosophy of Clean at Rockstar. We also rotate coaches to work on weaknesses in routines. If it's builds that are lacking in technique or difficulty then I'll work with the team. If it's choreo or routine issues then Joe or Shannon will work with them. Overall, any of our coaches can do everything and that's just great. But, It's equally as good to have specialists in every category.

You have to put your time in to grow a program. This year more than any other previous year we're starting to see the rewards of a great system, a sound philosophy and a great staff.

A smidge off topic but RockstarCheer made me wonder if we could do a 6 degrees of James Speed. It seems like everyone has some sort of connection to the man. Just made me laugh thinking about it.

Beatles looked absolutely amazing in that video. They are a sleeper team and when worlds come they come out and kill it when it is needed. I am sure many didn't think they would place top 3 last year and they did. I wouldn't be surprised to see them do the same thing this year. I also can't help but think of Pretty in Pink when I hear their dance song.

I don't put out videos of those other teams. Only Super Seniors and J5. I apologized for not looking at the videos.
