Yeah. They could have competed large senior at NCA and still gotten top 6......
But actually I just checked the results and they got 3rd. But whatever.

And another team mentioned earlier that has a Partial Paid as a Medium Coed but competed NCA as LG Coed R5 wound up 5th. (And someone from said gym complained about sandbagging lol).
The jacket issue with sizes may have been because of the way the jackets ran. This may get lost in all the crossover/rules/sandbagging discussion, but seems like the best thread to post in.
I have to say after my 5th year of attending, this has been my least favorite NCA. For the same reason I got turned off to Worlds last year, is the same reason why NCA wasn't as enjoyable this year....overcrowding. I'm sure it's great for the business end of things, and I'm sure they don't like to say no to gyms; but I hope they re-examine their team limit and lower it.
It's great they had ushers being more proactive with control, but it also seems they expected people to know exactly where a seat was available as soon as you got into the arena. So one of my pet peeves is people up and down the aisles during performances. I know NCA runs a tight schedule and you have to be fast, but to expect you to just go up the closest set of stairs and hope there is a seat on the way up doesn't help.
And when it came to the point of actually blocking people from entering, it was basically a crapshoot that you pick a set of doors where people actually come out, so they would let more people in.
More just nitpicky things, I'm not sure if there was some kind of retro thing being celebrated or what, since I heard the new jackets looked like old jackets (?), but the star backdrop also looked dated. And speaking of the jackets, I wasn't personally a fan. They looked like your average NC jacket where a company puts their logo, and randomly stitches National Champions on it. Also, running out of adult sized jackets? That must have been a buzzkill for first time winners...
Sorry if I come of as a negative Nancy. I may just be sad because I was so worried about losing my seat, I didn't get a funnel cake
My CP is a pretty solid AS in everything and she got an AS yesterday and it fits her perfect. Maybe it's just the youth sizes that were running small. The jacket issue with sizes may have been because of the way the jackets ran.
My kid gets a YM in every jacket at all other comps and it's kind of big on her. Our friend has an NCA jacket from last season and it was a YL and that jacket falls off of her. It was so big!!
Her jacket is a YL that's she got yesterday, and it fits perfect and it's not even a little big. So if a just turned 9 year old that's on the smaller side is in that big of a youth size that means everyone else is basically getting Adult sizes. Probably couldn't calculate properly based off of that but still should of had extras.

Some teams didn't even get jackets...they were told they would be "mailed to them". Can you imagine the disappointment? My CP is a pretty solid AS in everything and she got an AS yesterday and it fits her perfect. Maybe it's just the youth sizes that were running small.
Or maybe they ran out of adult sizes because there were some crazy cheer moms out there that told their younger CP's to get adult sizes so they could wear them. JK JK
Happened to some of our kids from out last gym at CHEERSPORT two years ago. They got them in June. Coed elite asked to have our jackets sent to them from Kansas City since we had little time to get to the airport. That was the first weekend in December....they still haven't gotten them. Or majors competitor tee shirts because they sent a bunch of youth sizes? Ugh.

I can't even imagine the disappointment. This was my CP's first for NCA and she has dreamed of winning one for so long. It would definitely be a huge let down.
