We couldn’t be more thrilled to debut the cover of our very first issue of Cheer! Magazine. It’s been a long few months preparing for the launch of the all-new magazine. We truly believe that cheerleading is a sport that brings so much happiness and growth into the lives of each and every athlete. No matter what team, level or state you are from.
Congratulations to Spirit of Texas – Purple Royalty on the prestigious honor of taking the very first cover for Cheer! Magazine. Spirit of Texas’s Purple Royalty has made a mark at numerous events this season. Their most remarkable achievement this season so far? Purple Royalty became the very first team to receive zero deductions at this season’s MAJORS competition and making a splash as the Medium Coed Champion and Fan Favorite of the MAJORS 2015.
Other than the win, “one of the coolest things about this event is the athlete’s reception on night one,” Spirit of Texas’ Brett Hansen said. “You get respected athletes that talk about their experiences and it’s all just really cool for them and for us (coaches),” he said.
Our first issue is filled with new and evolving stories that every cheerleader, parent, coach, gym owner, or fan can relate to. Whether it’s a motivational story about a gym that lacks equipment but still thrives, or filling you in on the latest news in the cheer world, we have it for you here at Cheer! Magazine. And, we don’t plan to stop here. We have so many plans already in effect that will continue to grow and shape this industry! While we do look at the bigger picture, our team is constantly searching for new and unconventional content.
