I am incredibly happy for Suni, she fought for that gold and seeing her families reaction was everything.

So happy for Suni but was also incredibly impressed with the gymnast from Brazil in the all-around. If she hadn't have stepped out of bounds on floor, she would've won gold. She was solid on every event and has such insane amount of power.

So thrilled for all 3 medal winners in the AA. I'm also thrilled MyK is going to compete in vault tomorrow. I feel so bad Simone is dealing with a block right now, but I'm happy for MyK and Jade.

Also sorry for double post but if Simone drops out of floor finals will Mykayla compete on floor also?

Ok. I love Jordan too and she didn’t make any event finals. So if Simone sadly has to pull out of floor, will Jordan go in? That would be cool for her to compete in an event finals. Also, who would replace Simone on beam? Final question- is suni in beam finals and UB? Sorry, this post has a lot of questions!

For individual events you can only have 2 per country and they must have landed in the top ten. So, Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos of France will replace Simone Biles in Event Finals for Uneven Bars.

If Simone does not compete on the balance beam, Urara Ashikawa of Japan would take her spot.

If Simone pulls out, Jennifer Gadirova of Great Britain will replace Biles in the floor exercise.

Nina Derwael wins gold on bars! Bridget said it's the first olympic women's gymnastics medal for Belgium. I'm glad, I was hoping she would win. I really wanted Elisabeth Seitz to medal, so close!

My heart is broken for Jade. Any other day of the week and she would have made the podium. I hope she kills it on Floor and walks away with a medal.

I'm also broken hearted for Simone. What a time for a block---to know that this is how her gymnastics career is going to end, has to be excruciating.

Happy for Skinner, now hopefully she her husband will stop making a butt of himself and she can retire quietly.

I understand Tom has a large undertaking to deal with, I just think he's not handling it well. At all. The load has my sympathy, but people still suffer.

SO excited for Andrade, I hope this makes up (at least a little bit) for Rio. And Nina Derwael! Bummed for Suni having some wobbles (it being her stronger event), but she also had to push harder than she probably anticipated this Olympics, so she's gotta be exhausted. In a weird way- these Olympics being so off has allowed for a lot of interesting things to happen, unexpected country medals, new champions. Certainly has made things spicy!

My heart breaks for Simone- I know she wanted to do Tokyo and be done...but I can't imagine she even remotely anticipated this at all. To push through all the horrible things that have happened to her, all the injuries going to finish out with this last Olympics and then this? I struggle with unfinished business, so this would bother the heck out of me. I hope she can make peace with whatever happens, however it happens.
