Because a bid should be earned and won. A bid that has belonged to multiple gyms in the same year, just doesn't have the same appeal.

Then in my humble opinion I feel a team shouldn't be able to accept any other bid once one is accepted regardless of the type of bid. If you have a Worlds Team that you feel is good enough to get a paid bid then compete for that bid. Again this is my personal opinion and can explain further if you want.

There are gyms that do not accept at large bids. But some gyms like to know they have a bid to fall back on if they do not end up with a paid bid at the end of the season.
