He is actually on all 3 according to an article I read earlier. No clue how.

    Morgan is at Texas Tech.

Thanks for clarifying. I knew it sounded weird, but I'm tired and should have known not to trust the internet.

Stupid question: the sweatbands they wear around their knees, are those regular sweatbands or what are they called?

My husband and male boss are super into Cheer, which is hilarious and totally awesome. Hubby refers to Lexi as "full full" and asks a million questions every episode. He definitely has a new appreciation for what I did in all star and college now that he's seen what practices look like.

I'm left wondering a few things after watching:
    1. How many athletes actually end up graduating with any type of degree?
    2. What is the GPA requirement to stay on the team?

I've always known that many of the top cheer schools function as extended all star programs, but the academic scenes really illustrate how little some of these athletes care about the student part of their student athlete role.

While I can't say for sure, my guess is they're a cover for a cho-strap so they all look the same. The strap stabilizes the patella tendon. When my daughter was diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatters, she had to start wearing one for running to relieve the pain.

The educator/counselor in me cringed at kids seemingly struggling hard with what are probably 101/1000 level courses (ones that my dual enrolled HS students took in 11th grade) and saying stuff like "I hate school. People ask me what I'm majoring in and I just don't know. My major is cheerleading."

    Girl. What.

They are just like a regular sweatband, just smaller to fit around the knee. Same exact material though.

ETA: Some of the guys on my team would wear them around their arms or wrists instead of the knee.
