Coaches and/or athletes- what is the longest that you feel comfortable waiting between warmups to perform?

Aside from "matgate 2016", I had an issue with medium finalists being announced so late and then having medium all girl compete as the first division on Monday. With kids not sure if they are advancing until around 11:30, trying to fall asleep after learning they made finals, then having to be up by 6 to have enough time to get "performance ready" and go meet the team... My daughter barely got any sleep. Fortunately there were no major injuries this year but imo it's extremely dangerous to have these athletes competing such intricate skills with exhausted bodies and minds.
They did the same thing to MedCoed a few years ago. It was just ridiculous!

KC Cheer athletes noticed the floor was wet and reported it to their coach. The coach reported it to officials, they were the first team to go in large senior. Nothing was done.

Everything in the ball field was wet. The grass, the "carpet" the kids walked on to get to the tent, the metal ramp going up to the floor , for sure the red border and the metal ramp leading them off the floor to the instant replay video tent. NO way that floor wasn't soaked. Especially for Orange. Nothing but admiration for F5 hitting under those conditions!!! I know the routines SE has been putting on the floor all month in the gym and that routine wasn't it. I have to guess SS, Orange and Panthers have t either. I'm saddest for the teams because nobody got to see the perfection they worked so hard on the whole month of April!!! ...all of us lucky enough to have lined up at 4 pm to see our kid compete after 11:30 pm were a wet mess. (SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS FROM THE TIME I GOT IN LINE TO THE TIME I SAW MY KID PERFORM........this is the industry we are. It's how we treat the people who fill their pockets with our $$$).

My CP's stunt was one of our drops and she said immediately after coming off the floor she slipped on the line taking her out of position in the group. When I went to get Hayley from the allstar at 4 am to take her to the airport the kids shoes were still wet. (Kids in her room). Watching the best teams in the country at what they do, all fall apart the same night, (not F5......yAll rocked thAt poop!!!!) can not be a Coincidence. Last years injury ridden Large Coed division was the worst situation I had ever experienced until Sunday night.........you know who doesn't give a poop? Our governing body. They don't give a poop about my child. All they care about is my checks don't bounce to my gym so my gyms checks don't bounce when she write's them to them. (Millions she spends with them by the way)

(Sorry for the strange capitalization I'm typing while riding in the car)

There have been a lot of posts on this forum this weekend that have made me tear up.. This one actually did me in.
This is the saddest post I had read all weekend.

Why? Just Why ? :(

Can we talk about MAG? Is it true that a team (maybe Cheer City United) got to perform again after they competed, pyramid had issues and the coach complained they had to wait too long after warm ups? So they got to go again.
Can this be confirmed?

This is true. Cheer Xpress Lady X from Lincoln, NE. First after the insanely long break. Held them backstage. Not acceptable in the least.

ETA. Holding them backstage during the delay was unacceptable. Not their coach appealing...

No idea. I am probably not the best source of info. Our gym is also from Nebraska. Our girls know their girls. Our coaches know their coaches. I know they performed a second time. We heard through the grapevine it was due to the unexplained break prior to their performance being extended and them being held after warm ups behind the stage. No idea the process they went through to make the decision.

Does anybody know about the situation with Cheer Xpress in Medium All Girl? They performed with some issues but made it fully through the routine. They then came back out to compete again at the end of the division and did better. They got to count the full second routine score. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this?

Edit: I see it's already being discussed, lol.

@mstealtoyou your post broke my heart. This is a kids sport for the most part. It blows my mind that kids and families are treated this way, and the kids are suffering and put at risk. Nobody should be making money off kids using unethical practices. It was pure luck that nobody was seriously injured or worse. Sadly, the tail is wagging the dog here.

Seeing the tape on those gates sends alarm bells. Fire marshals would have had a field day as this doesn't meet code, and Disney could also be held liable. Until there are consequences there will never be any change.

I may not have a monkey in this circus, but I am a business professional and coming at this situation from a business perspective. This is a tinder house ready to explode! All it'll take is outside eyes and a child rights group to catch wind and watch them go to town.

Agreed. I wonder what it would take to pry Worlds away from USASF. They make so much money off of that one event I can't imagine they would willingly give it up.

This is essentially me thinking out loud but, realistically, the big gyms "boycotting" one year would not do anything - even if they all did it together. New world champions would just be crowned. The big gyms would have to "boycott" for an indefinite amount of time so that Worlds would be somewhat illegitamate - it wouldn't be the best of the best anymore, it'd just be another UCA. But I can't see that happening because gyms are also a business and Worlds is the pinnicle event for all star cheer. Parents and athletes would just go to other gyms that were attending worlds, USASF would still get their money, and the big gyms would be SOL. So I'm not sure you can really "speak with your money" in this situation. I think you'd have to get more creative.

Is there an organizaed group already in place where the big names in the industry can put pressure on USASF to atleast get their sh!t together?

What if the boycotting big gyms came together and created their own version of 'Worlds'? Or an independent EP stepped in to do something similar and they all went there instead? I don't know how much bigger gyms hold as far as power goes, but it seems like the only way to break off from Worlds is to create their own version of it and let it grow.

Someone help me make this side project accurate:

I really want to hear the story behind this. I'm praying that it's not what it seems on the surface.

But past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior and all....

I've seen this being questioned in ASGA but I think it has been deleted. I'll check there too.

ETA: not deleted just buried under numerous other posts. Not much info there either.

Answers shouldn't be this difficult to find.
