When there weren't 15 billion nationals, so earning that title was a big deal.

When Varsity's logo wasn't that V, it was a little triangle with those 3 colors.

You had those shoes with the color tabs to match your team gym name.

When there wasn't a "priority section" everyone just rushed to the front of the floor/ stage to watch.

TATTOOS! everybody wore tattoos on their stomachs, faces, legs...basically anywhere you could stick it

i cannot even begin to tell you how much lip glitter i have swallowed. I HATE that stuff.

Same here.....ours was bright pink though. Hated it! It looked good though.

Same! One time I had to go from a cheer competition in one city to a UIL meet in a city an hour and a half away. I spent the whole car ride trying to get the glitter off of my face. I got some pretty strange looks when I rolled up into the school with my cheer uniform peeking out from under my dress clothes & my hair up with a huge bow and the "cheer curls."

Eww we did too! By the time I stepped onto the floor it was halfway gone off of my lips. I can imagine that there is still glitter sitting in my stomach now.
