Music Garageband To Itunes To Cd… Volume Too Low At Comp!

This is my second year coaching and I create my own music in Garageband. It works great here at the school for half time over the system we have here. I also can blast it at practice on a Bose stereo. However, last year at competition, my team opened with a cheer and once they were ready for the music, it played too faintly for anyone to hear! They were asked to restart, which shook them up. They had to set up a different stereo, tried again, and the team was able to hear it but the crowd could not. This was very embarrassing. This year, I have used some tricks from apple support and garageband users on youtube to hopefully increase the volume of the track itself, but I was wondering if any of you who use Garageband have run into this issue, and if so, what has worked for you? I need to burn to CD for the competition we are going to, and I don't want to let them down again! THANKS!
