One of my favorites was last year fierce chat during nca... Weezy (understandably) was not too happy when anybody said anything negative about the "scandalous" Top Gun unis, so when someone brought them up I changed my username to Weezy and half the chat room left immediately hahaha. Then we all started changing our usernames and pretended to be people. It was pretty funny :)

I miss fierce chat :(

The Story of Whoadeedle a.k.a. appledrinkyum

Once upon a time there was a charming poster named "whoadeedle", she was a college student going to school to be a nurse practitioner (or so we all thought). She was a very active poster and made lots of friends on the boards. One day she said she was donating part of her kidney to her brother and we all stood behind her and supported her...told her how awesome she was..ect. Then one day (somehow) someone found out that she wasn't who she said she was, in fact every picture she had posted to the boards had been stolen from people's facebook pages, including a picture of a baby boy she said was her nephew. She was called out and quickly disappeared. What made it so dramatic was that she had made a bunch of friends on the boards that had even talked to her on the phone, only to find out everything she had ever said was fabricated. It was weird and scary at the same time.

Didn't she come back again with a different username a while after she had been called out? I vaguely remember people calling her out again, but it was far less dramatic the second time around.

The Fierceboard didn't exist in 2005, unless in confused didn't people post in the pro x board then, and before thy the cheer athletics board.

Yeah... I started on the pro x boards. I always consider Pro X/Fierceboard to be sort of the same thing, since Fierceboard eventually came about because Pro X crashed/closed and sooooooo many of the same people came here (and are still here). Wasn't there another board that everyone was using right after Pro X crashed? imissthexboards?

Yes! and wasn't there another board in between that one and this one??

And before all that, there was the Cheer Athletics message board, where I first started reading. Although, I only started posting here over the past year or so.

My favorite moment on the boards was worlds 2009...it was my 1st worlds on the boards and between the chat and people posting every 5 seconds, it was a ton of fun (the board was a lot smaller then). I remember when 300 people logged in meant it must be a comp weekend, now there's over that just sitting idle at any given time.
haha I'm no doctor but you can't donate part of your kidney! You can donate part of your liver though ;)

i've been on the boards since... 2005? i think. i wish i could remember some stuff from waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day. i think the woahdeedle fiasco will always stick out the most in my head. not my favorite memory, but possibly the most dramatic.
I totally agree...drama! But it really hurt my feelings too and destroyed a lot of trust I had for people online. I wondered if everyone was really who they said they were for months maybe even a year.

The Milkhouse burning down was actually pretty funny...I was on that night and people went to great lengths to keep it going. The board had gotten much tamer as it's grown, there used to not be a posting limit for newbies or even a newbies section. You signed up and immediately got access.
I can't wait until Worlds....this board is gonna be rockin!

The CA board lasted until I couldn't keep SPAM (mostly SPAM for porn sites) from filling up all of the posts. I spent more time deleting stuff than reading. It was basically impossible to stop at the time. Software for message boards has come a long way since then.

Well, FWIW I think you did a great job, and that message board certainly opened up my eyes to the rest of the cheer world outside of tiny New England, so I thank you!
