The state of Maryland just became stronger in the all-star world. We are thrilled to announce that the world class Maryland Marlins All-Stars is merging with the World Champion Maryland Twisters All-Stars. After years of sharing athletes & staff, it just makes sense that two amazing gyms combine into one powerhouse all-star gym. Marlins owner Terri Curley, and Twisters owner Tara Cain, have a wealth of knowledge that will strengthen the overall Twisters product. Their goal is to provide our athletes with a safe training environment & make sure they all have fun. Marlins athletes will be welcomed into our Glen Burnie or Waldorf locations.

The Marlins are nationally known as their flagship team Tsunami placed in the top 5 at Worlds in 2010. Due to their success & huge fan base, the team was invited & competed in THE MAJORS event in 2011 alongside the Twisters F5, 2011 World Champions. Although both gyms were just 8 miles apart, the owners made sure the kids did not have a negative rivalry.

The Twisters merged with MD Superstarz in March 2011. The former owner Lisa Shaw is now the Cheer Director of that location for the Twisters. That merger was a huge success. And after years of Tara, Terri and Lisa competing against each other, it is nice to know they are coming together for the sake of our athletes.
