The discussion in this thread makes me glad to have taken some of my worst cheer losses in the pre-Facebook/Twitter era.

I mean, there were times we were all being 15 and said some really dumb things.

It wasn't out there forever for the whole world to read.

We vented. We did the "Well at least we don't have ugly make up!" thing amongst ourselves. Then we moved on.

If you aren't happy with the results/ the ep or whatever else, don't go- no one is forcing you to be there. Its as simple as that. There were many tweets I saw from many different programs and I understand it at times from kids. You are upset, you say stupid things just smarten up and don't make the same mistakes next time. But the owners and coaches wtf is wrong with you? You are an adult not a child act like one! It seems to always be the same 2 programs that have coaches and kids acting the same way when their kids don't win and it hasn't just been this season it has been over multiple seasons. And I would never send my kid to either program personally. I don't care how world titles they have won.

was that the same year panthers' pyramid music had "look up the stars are fading"? I think that mix is still why I can't be a panther fan. I hold that against them.
Oooooh I forgot about that one. The worst I remember from those years was the F5 Haters mix. "Kitties belong in the litter box." Still don't know who made that, but dang it was awful.

Regarding the time deduction for CEA Senior Elite. This was the same routine competed at CheerSport 2 weeks ago. On both days the routine ended in the same manner. Would the time deduction not been noted there? They were warned about something else in the routine, but had nothing to do with time. So I'm curious to know.
Judges miss stuff all the time, it must've been missed at all their prior comps, but rules are rules and NCA happened to catch it.

for real. people who complain about sportsmanship and crazy fans fueling the fire in large senior this season don't know how good they have it. it was VICIOUS back then.

My CP performed at a local one day Cheersport event they were called for an illegality in the pyramid dismount. It cost them a first place finish. They had performed that same dismount 6 other times and had never been called on it. A month later they performed the same routine with a correction won their division at Cheersport Atlanta and won a paid bid to Summit. Judges do miss stuff.

Thank you for responding, but I have to wonder isn't that a problem within itself? I very rarely post on here, but have been involved in the industry for 11 years now. Taking SE out of the mix and replacing them with ANY team at ANY level. Would you not expect judges to do what they are paid, trained and skilled to do and catch the things that they are supposed to catch every time they are hired to judge an event? Don't get me wrong, no one is 100%, but miss stuff all of the time is slightly bothersome statement to me especially if and when it comes down to tenths of points. Aren't CheerSport, NCA and most other major cheer competitions under the Varsity Brand/set of rules, but depending on who's judging they may or may not get enforced? Maybe I am unable to wrap my brain around it because I go to work everyday and I don't get to keep my job or get a great bonus if I am missing stuff all of the time and neither does my co-workers.

So derailing the subject matter for a moment and not just specific to NCA, but for the love of pete some athletes need to have some respect for themselves and those around them and not use the arena seating as a locker room. A teenage girl took off her uniform top in the middle of the section her team fans were in. She was standing and only had a strapless bra on and stood there half naked for well over 5 minutes. The adults that were with her saw nothing wrong with it. The gym she was from is a large gym and definitely had a meeting room - go change in there or in the bathroom! It was beyond classless behavior and dangerous. You have no idea who is sitting in the arena with you.

"You are only responsible for being honest, not for someone else's reaction to your honesty."

When I used to cheer, we used to compete at a competition in a casino. As soon as I got off the mat, my mom would have a shirt and pants waiting for me to put on. It seemed so ridiculous at the time, but you really never know who is around you!

I generally wanted out of my uniform almost immediately but not that badly!

My favorite one was "your lips are dried, your hair is fried, and your make up is running." *SNAP* (I might've mixed up the order of that.)

And did Reign call out someone's stutter once?

Vicious is right!
