I'm going to make millions creating adorable, stylish orthotic shoes that won't break the bank. Seriously- you get the same shoe base concept, and make them not look like shoes for a 50 year old woman from the 70s. It's NOT that hard!

OMG please do! Our pyhsical trainer always gets on me for wearing my TOMs and wedges. But I have never been a tennis shoe girl anyway.

My parents want me to see another specialist because the pain has worsen and they can see an actual difference in my legs and how I walk. The last pediatrist I saw said the right foot curves out more than the left.

I think that is an excellent idea...:)

Oh, you'll make millions until the 50-year-old women, whose fashion sense was at it's height in the 70s, start wearing them because they're cute and support their orthopedically-challenged arches. Then your fierce-thotics go the way of the Croc and the Dansko...

High-tail it to an orthopedic doc. Preferrably a pediatric sports medicine doc.

I had one before hut he wasn't good for cheerleaders, he asked if I had to do a tuck... because it was giving me ankle problems that have subsided

ETA : I originally saw him for pain in my foot and ankle per our Trainers request but it has gone away with my current ensoles. The pain I have now is in one foot primarily when flying.

You might need to take a vid (as close-up as you can) of you flying to show a doc. Do different stunts so he/she can see how your body is expected to move and explain the point at which you feel pain. Also show some tumbling - sometimes the point that we feel pain may not actually be the cause of the pain at all, or it could be a combination of factors. A good doc may not know the rules of your sport, but they understand body mechanics and the physical aspect of what you asked to do.

Thanks for the suggestions! Luckily my coach knows about it and is sympathetic when I fall out the stunt.

And then I will make MORE money..and a wider range of styles for my shoes. :D It's like many are old-ladyish, some get CLOSE to being bearable but are still hinting at the fact I have the body of an 80 year old woman.

okay, so we got orthotics for my cp but now her vengeance don't have a liner like her evolutions did to put the orthotic under. They are from the podiatrist. not custom but they are hard, hard plastic and have to be put under a liner. we tried putting the liners from her evolutions in the vengeance, but it didn't feel right. Does anyone have any suggestions for some over the counter orthotics that are working well?
