So basically All Star has been around since the mid to late 1980's? I don't think any of the gyms near me have been around longer than 15 yrs tops. Im looking forward to reading what ya'll come up with for the absolute oldest gym.

I competed against Top Gun which means they had to be at NCA in 94 or 95. I also think Pro Cheer in GA is 1992.

They opened in 1990 so 23 years, which would put them in their third decade.

Also I could have sworn World Cup and Top Gun started the same year in 1994, but I could be totally wrong.

I thought Top Gun started a year or two earlier than that to. Memory is a little hazy going back that far.

Georgia allstars has been around for 22 years or so

They started 22 years ago, but it has not been open the whole time.

I'm not sure when they started having competitive teams. I thought that was right around the same time us, WC, etc. started. That is when it should officially "count" IMO.

I will have to watch the discovery channel documentary again when they followed the teams to Dallas. I think they give the years the gyms opened on it... both Word Cup and Gymtyme were on the show... There was another team on it as well..

Carolina Spirit Athletics was opened originally as "Pro Spirit" (dazzlers?)...maybe StarshipTrooper knows when PS opened originally? I know MG used to cheer there.

At a large competition a few months ago I noticed they were selling a bunch of shirts that had the number 86 on it. I asked why they all said 86 and what is the significate of that number. They said that was the start of all-star cheer. So I assume there are some gyms that opened in 1986. In Arizona the oldest ones are 12 years old.

'86 was the creation of the Q94 Rockers.

If you follow the Rocker trail, *I Believe* that they eventually (though in what year I don't know) turned into the USA Allstars. The Richmond location of USA no longer exists (and in it's time went through some mergers and buy ups, Richmond Gym history...ugh) but the Stafford (?) one does so if that counts there's a potential they've (the "brand" USA) been around quite some time. I'll see if I can't find out at work tonight...

I went to Amazon to see if there was a book on the history of All Star...didn't find one but I did find this little gem...

I would guess this is the third decade they have technically been running during (90s, 00s, 10s) but not actually 30 years
