Another question about rhinestones- any tips on using them to spell words, make a picture, etc? I don't understand how people can make a mass order of bows and have all the rhinestones placed exactly the same. Is this done by hand or is there a machine?

For those of you who are using tweezers to place your rhinestones, you should try using a jewel setter.. It is SO MUCH easier and faster. It is basically a stick with wax on the end that sticks to the rhinestones and you just pick them up and place them where they should go. It does sometimes leave a little bit of wax on the stone. However, all you need to do is spray some windex on a paper towel and white it off.

I use E6000. I also used to design/decorate full glitz pageant dresses (think toddlers and tiaras) and all of us pageant designers used E6000.

Do you know what glue to use with acrylic rhinestones (especially the larger ones), E-6000 seems to melt the backing on these so that the stones look crackeled?

GemTac works great, it just doesn't dry as fast as E6000.

Thank you! They're just plastic studs. It's a little on the heavy side but I tumbled in it without it weighing me down.
