For a junior team with a wide age span, we did crafting parties (decorating bows and t-shirts), a ceramic painting party, and a valentine’s exchange.

Escape rooms, pool party with team games, laser tag, adopt-a-team (your team "adopts" another team, usually younger and makes fun motivational things for them, lock-in at the gym. At practice, spend 15 minutes or so making a short routine and perform/compete it for the rest of the team.

Truth or dear, telephone, having an older / senior cheerleader adopt a new squad member. They then communicate positive notes to one another through a journal. This truly helps the new members with their anxiety!
