Dexcom is a continuous glucose monitor, it's not a pump. It's ahhhhhhmazing!!! I have a dexcom and its brought my a1c down a lot. It has a high and low alarm so if you go over a certain number or lower it will alarm. It's awesome.

The omnipod sucks. I tried it and hated it. I was allergic to the adhesive, it got ripped off at practice, also the pdm which is the meter remote for the pod is huge! I'd rather stick to my animas vibe with my dexcom :)
Ah okay. I have a MiniMed, the newest has a CGM system with it. I could get one now but my warranty is up next year so I'm just waiting for that.

Oh the 530g. We have the veo here and it's been out for awhile. The enlite cgm still sucks vs the old sof sensor. Doesn't compare to the dexcom! You should see if you can do a trial of it for a week or two. It's great!

Does anyone use Amazon Prime ? I have a few questions regarding it.

1. Do you get to stream tv shows for free by any chance? I need to finish watching outlander and I can't really find it anywhere online

2. Has anyone done the free 6-month student trial?

I live and breathe for Amazon prime. Yes, you can stream shows for free, but Outlander isn't one of them right now. They change every month, but that one probably won't be on Prime (taps foot while STILL waiting for Game of Thrones to be on it) anytime soon.

I didn't do the student trial, but I am pretty sure the student membership doesn't include video streaming. I have the regular, $99/year membership, and it is worth every cent. I cannot imagine my life without Prime.

You could look into your public library. I was under the impression that libraries only had like old, crusty TV shows like Walker,Texas Ranger and Bonanza but I just got the newest season of Game of Thrones from there so holla. (Eta: season 4 actually, I am way more behind in GOT than I thought. Still though, that's not bad for a library)

I've been getting so many TV shows from the library recently that I'm considering canceling my Netflix and Hulu subscription because I barely use them. But since I don't have cable I think I'd keep at least Hulu. Especially since the fall shows are coming back on. And The Mindy Project is starting in September yay :) :) :) :) but Netflix can go.

Here's what I need to know. WHY doesn't kindle have some way to sort my books into collections? I literally have a couple hundred books, and they're just all there. Why can't I sort them into different genres, read/not read, or whatever? Seems kind of like this should be obvious to amazon. I tried using shelfari, but it wouldn't let me import my books list, and I'm really NOT going to hand enter a couple hundred books, since that is stupid and kind of the opposite of what I'm looking to do.

ETA Kindle Fire, I think regular Kindles have this feature. Oddly the Fire does not.

Not sure about the US but I know in the UK HBO and the UK partner which airs GOT have a licensing deal which prevents it being on any VOD platform but it's own. Might be the case your end too.

You should watch Rick and Morty on Hulu. It's amazing.

Is it only GOT? Because Prime has some deal with HBO, so they have all their shows, just GOT isn't free. Most of the HBO shows are free on Prime, but I just cannot bring myself to pay $2.99 per episode to watch it.

Those kind of deals are usually done on a case by case basis and I'm never sure which shows are HBO, Showtime etc but I know that GOT was this big exclusive deal. I wouldn't was to pay that much per episode either! There's 10 per season, yeah, no.

My new co-worker keeps telling me this :p My brother was morty for Halloween this year. I'll watch it eventually but I'm in the middle of like 7 different shows right now. It will happen since I keep hearing how good it is!

Yes! This drives me nuts, too! I use the Kindle app and it won't let me sort, either.

If you currently have HBO as part of your cable package, you can watch all of their shows on HBOgo...

We don't have cable at all. Only Netflix, Hulu plus, and Prime. Usually that covers pretty much everything I want to watch (I VERY rarely watch tv, but sometimes I'll binge watch something while I do housework).

I joke now at work that i'm a Rick and Morty evangelist who spreads the good news about the show.
