Apparently the piggy back is illegal.

Yea I thought that was illegal when I saw it. The twisting is continuous, but primary weight is at 2 person-high.

I know they've pushed into gray areas with similar things in pyramids before, but they always seemed much faster and clearly a transition. I agree with this one being illegal. While she is "in motion" the whole time, it's clearly not a transition and the middle girl is definitely weight-bearing.

Or do I not understand those rules clearly? I admit I'm not the best interpreter.

That was my interpretation as well. It definitely popped into my head as being illegal when I first saw it.

If it's an at large, the bid does not get passed on to someone else. It will no longer exist.

So if a team has an at large and upgrades to a full paid or partial paid, the bid no longer exists? Because if that's the case there's something going on differently in Canada because for as long as I can remember they've passed along at large bids when that happens.

Yes, at-large bids disappear. If a team has a partial paid and then upgrades to full paid, the partial gets passed down. But at-larges do not.

Interesting. I'm wondering how this works then because I was talking to a friend from a gym up here and they said one of their teams that did not receive a Worlds bid is waiting to hear "who gets the trickle down bids" as 4 teams upgraded from an at large in December to a partial paid in January/February, and I know it happened last year as well.
