All-Star Getting Caught...

Oh wow....from info I'm hearing this really did happen recently and with an EP everyone knows. If true then I'm stunned they would choose to not do more.
And no...don't ask...while I have it from reliable sources I can not confirm without shadow of doubt. I just wanted to say it looks like this hypothetical was not...
It happened...it was confirmed. Offending teams were taken from first place to last. Team that won a bid was stripped, and it was handed to another team in their organization. This happened at a Cheersport 1 day.

Not that this is cheating, but has anyone else seen a sudden surge of really good, stacked teams that didn't exist until recently? Last comp we attended had 3 teams who (when I researched extensively) never had been to a comp or listed on the gyms original team page. But they came in.. Kicked butt and came away with summit FP bids. They didn't even have an AL. These teams would have surely received an AL by now. They were flawless. Big name gyms. Just crazy how these teams suddenly pop up ..

Some states (I know IL for sure) have quarter year teams. The kids do high school cheer and then switch over to allstar once the high school season is over. The kids have the experience & the skills to jump right in to allstar. I hear it's actually a fairly common practice in those states. I wouldn't call that cheating since the kids are prohibited from doing allstar until their high school season is over.

ETA: Some gyms will not accept an at large bid. So, you may see a good team not get a bid at all until late in the season depending on their competition at previous comps.

Basics Superstars globed at worlds as one of the teams you describe

Huge thumbs down for Cheersport.
I believe, since the original decision to pass down to another of their teams, the bid has just gone away...

I'm still thumbing them down. They didn't go far enough as far as I'm concerned.

That is likely true, I haven't pieced all of the puzzles pieces together---but I'm assuming they didn't hand out any form of punishment or report it to USASF? I'm gonna guess it's a bigger gym they're scared of losing maybe?

USASF knows...but it's up to the EP to strip titles and bids. It's not a big gym. It's actually a gym no one has probably heard of unless you're from the area.

PS, I also believe an illegally aged athlete was used at least 1 day at UCA too.

Either the USASF rep has finally convinced Cheersport to remove the cheating teams from their results page (which they hadn't been able to do last I looked) or Cheersport is reading this thread ( :shaka: ) Cheating teams are no longer listed.

Maybe a mixture of both?
