Welp, this is where I get off for a bit to address all my adult responsibilities I have successfully avoided until now.

Stay sane! Eat food! Drink water! Take naps! We must be ready for Large Senior finals!

I guess its a matter of personal opinion. When my high school team got second at a big competition it was devastating. I don't think its poor sportsmanship to show disappointment. They weren't being rude to the winners so I don't think they need to be super happy and smiley at the moment.

That same scenario I was talking about, I congratulated the bronze champs, they looked soooo pissed and didn't even give me smile. I felt disrespected tbh, and if they were that disappointed they might aswell give me their medal then. I get the disappointment but not the showing of it in public. You should be proud of your achievement.

I'm sorry your feelings were hurt but honestly right after losing a competition I know we could have won the last thing I want to do is talk to the team that beat me. Unlike the girls in your story I would have smiled and said it back but I would rather be left alone. For me it didn't feel like an achievement it felt like a defeat

We could have won and we got 4th, it felt like a defeat to me. I still took it with grace. I'm gonna be that one and quote Abby Lee, save the tears for your pillow. I'm sorry but I will never be okay with sore losers. It's not cute.
