Wow I can only imagine how terrifying that must have been. Prayers for those hurt and good luck moving forward!

So, so sorry that you and your kids experienced this. I will pray for a safe recovery for the parents. Wow, the pictures are just awful.

That is truly terrifying! Positive thoughts and best wishes for a speedy recovery from Australia. Let us know if we can do anything to help.

Update on our parents in ICU - our cheer mom Michelle has two broken ankles, a possible fractured sternum and fluid in her lungs. She was attempting to run out of the building when she was thrown into the breezeway. They rescured her from the rubble after the storm passed.

Heath - our hero cheer dad was attempting to get all of the kids in to the dance room. He was crushed by a steel beam, cinder block wall and garage door. He is awaiting surgery. His injuries are: broken back (in 2 places), two broken legs, broken arm, concussion, nerve damage to both hands.

We had several kids injured but not severely. I myself was treated for a gash to my leg but refused transport. My 3 year old son was with us in the building. One of the cheer dads grabbed him and ran into the dance room and covered my son with his body so he would be safe. I am forever grateful to him!

Please continue to keep our injured parents, athletes & entire Cheer Fusion family in your prayers. We are overwhelmed by the support in such a short period of time. The All-Star world is amazing!!!!!

Also - the only thing left standing in our building is the Cheer Fusion sign above the tumble track. It stood strong and so will we....

This made me smile. You can never crush a cheerleader's spirit! We'll be thinking of the cheer parents in hospital and your entire gym family as you sort through the rubble and piece your lives and gym back together. Let us know if we can do anything to help. I can't believe the pictures I'm seeing, literally devastating. Love to the entire Cheer Fusion family x.

Mandi Spina I am in disbelief that this happened and I'm so thankful that no one was killed. I'm afraid for the mom and dad that suffered those terrible injuries and they'll stay in my thoughts. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you recover from this.

Good Morning America showed a cheer gym this morning while they were talking about the storms in VA. They didn't say which gym it was but I'm assuming it was Cheer Fusion. So sad :( I am praying for all of your athletes and families during this hard time.

.

Praying for your two injured cheer parents and tearing up over the Dad you mention above. What a truly selfless act I'm sure you'll be grateful for forever.

Praying for y'all Mandi!! Please keep us all updated on the parents. Scariest thing I have ever heard! You are so blessed to be alive!! Lots of prayers coming to you from Texas!!!

Thank you for the information. Please as a gym list what you all need in a way to help the gym and the families dealing with injuries. Till then many many prayers.

Mandi Spina Yes - when you guys get a chance - put together a list of anything we can send to help get you back on your feet as quickly as possible, and where to send it to. I'm sure my cp's gym would love to help out any way we can.

Prayers coming from Texas!!!

I think that's a great idea for a list of things needed!! We'd love to help!!
