This was a disappointment.. It has more of a Toddlers and Tiaras feel than one of competitive cheerleading. Maybe they'll improve it later on!

Most of those moms they showed are with Alicia on this show are also in her pageant biz and I have seen most of them on T&T

Everyone's making fun of the girl who did the headspring.... if anyone watched they'd know that she wasn't ready to throw it and that coach sat there and WATCHED HER potentially hurt herself instead of spotting. And the owners let him. Bad practice if you ask me...
Agreed. I made fun of the editing. They just tried way too hard to get drama and suspense out of that poor girl's tryout.

This girl that is a friend of mine just tweeted something along the lines of "cheer perfection may not be the best way of showing how hard cheer is but how would you feel if they were bashing your gym". I don't understand. She was sending "bashing" tweets all throughout the show. Insert cow emotion here (can't do it on my phone :( ). I feel like the gym is not being bashed. It's the show that we are not happy with!

TLC wasn't looking to showcase a great Youth 2 team; they were looking to showcase cheer drama mamas to appeal to their Toddlers & Tiara's core audience. Which is precisely why Cheer Imperfection was sandwiched between 2 eps of T & T.
I know I'm very aware with why this gym was chosen I was just stating that I wished they looked like that

Exactly. I feel like the real world doesn't care about seeing REAL athletes actually doing great skills. TLC (not just them probably) thinks that the public only cares about the whinny little girls and drama mamas. I mean, yeah it's fun to watch for the public and for them to put our sport down and not actually know what goes behind our hard work. It's like only our cheer world wants to see on TV what goes on behind all of our hard work. No one else really cares because they DON'T know. That's our problem, I believe. We need to actually get people to know that "Cheer Perfection" is NOT how we are and this show is NOT helping us.
*Running on no sleep, probably don't make any sense, but if you do, please put it in simpler terms for the sake of everyone else*
It makes perfect sense to me! And I agree with it all

If you don't want to be bashed then why put yourself on a show that you know will make every cheerleader hate you?

Now I just feel bad for these girls...

I kind of feel bad for the girl who did a forward roll. Everyone on twitter is making fun of her, but really what standing tumbling did they expect her to do? Bridges/Backbends hurt her back and she didn't have a backhandspring or anything like that either. I agree it was pretty ridiculous that her mom wanted her to be put on level 3, but I feel for this girl because I've never really had much tumbling either, yet I've been on level 2/3 teams because I excelled on other areas of the score sheet. Who's to say that this girl is not an exceptional base, jumper, etc? I kind of found it heart-warming when Alisha and RD gave Brooke a hug and told her that they know that she is awesome in other areas and that they love her. I would rather them allow the kids to progress at their own pace than push them to throw tumbling skills that could hurt them, like the one girl who was pushed to throw her bhs when she obviously wasn't ready.
