Back to the topic at hand...

The more I watch SE the more I take out of it and enjoy it. Especially the pyramid! Definitely needs cleaning up but the meat of the routine is amazing!

Coed Elite looks awesome. Can't wait to see how it all evolves.

Lady Elite has some work to do but I LOVE their music.

Haven't made up my mind about SSX yet.

Those are all the videos I've gotten through. Let the rehashing of old comps continue :)

Does anyone have Youth Elite in HD? I looked everywhere and can only find the one blurry one cheerUPDATES posted early in the day. Would love to see a better quality video of them.

i understand that the routine is messy right now (its october, are we all forgetting?) but im just sitting here like "how does double ups to immediate stretch, ball up tick tocks, 1 and a half up immediate 360 low to high, full ups and double tick tocks BOTH switching bases not impress or excite you?!?!"

I guess I don't understand how people can say they're not impressed by SE's routine. The skills those kids have....I can't even fathom. It may not be your TASTE, but that's different.

THANK YOU. Like it or not, that's your opinion, but anyone who is not impressed with that showcase of skills must not understand much about cheerleading.

I will say the one thing I wish I saw in this routine was just one stunt with everyone doing the same skill at the same time. I am a person that does enjoy the more visually creative style that CSP puts into her teams' routines, but for me I kept wanting it to slow down for a second so everyone could hit all at once, even if it's just one fullup or tick tock that then leads in to different variations.

Yeah. THIS.

This is where bias comes in. Say it's messy. That's true, it's October. But I guarantee for some posters, if you swapped out those exact girls with F5/Stars (I leave out Panthers because they don't get all that whiny lol), would scream to the heavens about how awesomely fantabulous it is.

Also. Everyone compare this:

With this:

I agree with the poster who said the people around the edges might also make it look messier/busier. Most teams now have a very white-based uniform, so it seems like there are more people around or on the floor due to your eye being drawn to all the white. It has a hard time differentiating.

I think overall the routines are extremely impressive. I love the fact that SSX is really working it out this year. At showcase, the routines always look busy, so I'm not too worried as I'm sure things will change. Very impressed with CEA this year!

It would be nice to not have to read 13 pages every time a teal team performs though! :p

I couldn't agree more ! Variations would even stand out more with a few full squad simultaneous skills in the stunt.

I seriously don't think I've ever seen a first stunt sequence that fast.

SSX really stepped up their tumbling this year. I honestly wasn't expecting that when I was watching.

Just to make life easier, can someone make a list of what we're allowed to talk about?

In the cheer athletics thread someone asked about a specific athlete (peyton maybe?) and we spent the next 3 pages reading about what a horrible person she must be for even asking, as that is just NOT done on the fierceboard. Then someone asks on here about this Taylor something and everyone is all hugs and kisses and rainbows and she moved and we miss her. Sooooo... can we talk about athletes or not?

If we talk about THIS performance, it's "only October" and "look at how far they came from last year's showcase to worlds!" But if *we* bring up last year's worlds and say something negative then we're "haters" and it's over and so last year and we need to let it go. So if we want to talk about things from last year we can, as long as it's nice? But if it's negative then we should "move on because that was last year" - or we can always start our own thread.

My head hurts from rolling my eyes so hard at the hypocrisy in this thread.

That being said, after watching the youth elite and junior elite videos, it doesn't look like the teal reign at the top is going to end any time soon. Just...wow.

Outside of negatively discussing minors and cussing talk about pretty much whatever you want in cheer.
