Glad you posted this. I've been platinum forever, and never even knew what the difference was. I didn't even notice, other than that it says "platinum member" on the back of the stuff they mail me.

So now I'm going to try that benefit mascara and amazonian clay foundation.

the amazonian clay foundation is the only foundation i will use! i absolutely love it! and it actually matches my weird skin color!! i put it on with the beauty blender and it is flawless. i chose to switch all of my makeup to tarte brand for chemical reasons but all of their products have quickly become my favorites. worth every cent.

I asked this in the beginning of the thread and I didn't get an answer.. I'm into highlighting and contouring but I don't know what products to use. Ive tried a couple drugstore light concealers and they just make my pores look huge and the peach fuz on my face super dramatic. Does anyone recommend some good products that are high end or drug store?

Glamoflauge by Hard Candy from Walmart is only $6 and the best concealer I've ever used! It's really heavy- it covers tattoos, but a little goes a long way.

I haven't used any liquid bronzes for contouring but Cargo waterproof bronzer is awesome. It stays on all day and is shimmery and is my favorite ever. It's like $20 at Ulta.

For highlighting I use Benefit Watts Up and I love it. It's kinda gold tinted and shimmery. I can't remember how much it is but I know that it's pricey.

If I don't feel like using all of that I use my Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette. I think it's like $30 and it has a bronzer, highlighter and blush. It comes in different colors but I think only one is sold in stores (that's the one I have). I love it! It's pretty compact and the colors look nice together. Makes everything super easy.

I currently don't wear a lot of make up, but I'm interested in investing in a light coverage (is that even the right term?) foundation. I have dry skin, freckles, but it's 100% clear most of the time. I very rarely get acne. My skin has yellow undertones but I'm pretty tan. What would be good? Sorry if I sound completely clueless, I'm nearly 21 and I've never worn foundation lolol.

I'm in the same boat - fair skin tone but VERY freckled, I've been using bare minerals for almost 5 years now - love it! They offer start up kits that include foundation, bronzer, brushes, etc! It's so light it feels like you are wearing nothing!

So Im currently re-reading this entire thread and turns out they hurt wayyyy more than a bandaid. There's been times where Ive had to stop pulling at the strip because it hurts so bad. But its COVERED in white heads when I look at it.
For real?! I don't think they hurt at all! But I basically wash my face four times before I use them so maybe I just don't have a lot that they are holding on to.

Bare minerals! It feels like there's nothing on your face, looks natural, and it's quick and easy. It's good for your skin too and doesn't have a lot of the dangerous chemicals used in makeup.

Not the best for dry skin, but it works pretty well if you use the iD skin prep first.

I would love to buy high end makeup. I'm just so scared to spend that kind of money. I did buy the urban decay setting spray and I love it, so I may have to start splurging soon..

I loooove Urban Decay, but I get most of my stuff when it goes shows up on HauteLook. I've gotten their eyeliner for $5, their foundation for $12, their eyeshadow primer for $9... HauteLook is kind of my addiction. It's a website where a bunch of designer, high end, nicer stuff is always on sale, and you sign up for free. (And if anyone who is gonna signs up wants to pm me to get my referral code so I can earn some credit, I won't be mad ;))

Are you signed up for their emails? I believe the promotion started on Sunday for double points if you're a normal member and triple points if you're a platinum member.

I received my first ipsy bag this month - I think I was linked to them from you - and I love it. Thanks for sharing :)

maybe i'm too enamored by the actual process of seeing the blackheads being pulled out of my skin to notice any pain

When you return makeup even if it's not used they are supposed to throw it away.
i was told that some stores (in the US) put them out as testers. i know in some parts of england all makeup sales are final because it's not sanitary to return them.
