Also the fold on the new skirt isnt suppose to be there. Theres tiny slits on the side and the back ended up folding in
I love the white one. The black is okay. The new one looks like the orange in the top and skirt are two different shades of orange (maybe just the lighting). It took me awhile to figure out what the logo was on the black uni.

The new ones are STUNNING. However, I'm not so sure how long the rhinestones on the skirt will last, they don't seem very practical.

They better rep arm motions until the end of time at practice. All that orange mystic under the arms is like a uniform we had. Provides a great visual....if you hit your motions together.

I've determined styling a uniform like this either helps you in the scoresheet in terms of synch/motions or completely submarines you. There's very little in between because those arms will be like orange strobe lights to the judges (especially arm placement in jumps).

I actually really LOVE this uniform! I did not care for the white ones at all, but this one is beautiful. In general I am curious as to how the stones hold up on the uniform when they are on skirts like this.

Not a fan of the front of the black cheergyms.com (too many rhinestones, should have just left them on the sleeves!) but I love the logo on the nude mesh on the back. The white looks nice, very clean. I'm usually total bra brigade but I really like the cutout on the back. It's different and cool.

ETA: I think that's nude mesh anyways.

Are those flat on the material or like raised stones? I feel like skirt stones would just fall off left and right. Your skirt gets wrinkled up when you move, it doesn't stay pulled tight like a top does. And you're going to be sitting on half of them all the time.

Knowing Morton and from what few videos I've seen of the kids... they are sharp, clean, and very fast paced routines. Not my personal favorite uniform but I like it.

Side track & double post but I absolutely love Morton. I could definitely say he is the only part of Cheergyms that I miss at my new gym.

Also the price difference in a Rebel and a GK uniform is pretty steep. GK makes a good product but they can charge more because they are already an established brand people go to for the name.
Hi! I'm a Vice President at Rebel Athletic. Rebel's prices are significantly less than our competitors because our business model is different. We manufacture in a vertically integrated factory that we own offshore -- we control every aspect of production under one roof. We stock our own fabrics (developed specifically for Rebel) we cut, sew, embellish, applique and crystal our uniforms all under one roof. We pass our savings on to our customers and can offer much in terms of value. More crystals.. more intricacies, more cutouts and unique details... and our premium bodyflex fabric is the most high performance 4 way stretch fabric available in the market today. It has the best recovery (meaning when you stretch it out it goes right back to where it was without losing shape or elasticity) and is sweat-wicking, figure flattering (hides body imperfections), soft and ultra comfortable. We prototype everything for free so if anyone has any doubts just go through the artwork process and get a free prototype so you can experience it for yourself.

Rebels is more blingy. On rebels the skit band and end of top are covered in rhinestones while gk is just plain. This is also the same with many of the outlining of "lines". Overall gk is more "plain" then rebel is.

Correct.. Rebel originally designed and prototyped this uniform for MT, but as a gym whose owner had a long standing relationship with GK, they ended up taking our prototype to GK, who proceeded to create a simplified version of our Rebel Purple Label Collection design. The one they wore at 2014 Cheerleading Worlds was not the Rebel uniform, but is a simplified version of the Rebel design. MT not wearing Rebel wasn't at all about the design or the quality, it was about a gym owner not wanting to damage a long standing relationship with a uniform vendor. We have very loyal customers too so I can appreciate that. I do all the photography and marketing/ad design for Rebel. I photographed the Rebel version (featured in the ad) on Jamie Andries at the same photoshoot where I photographed Bianca Tregor in the Junglecats uniform before Worlds.

But in all honesty, I'd rather pay the steep difference for a GK uniform because of the quality and fit.
Have you seen Rebel's quality and fit firsthand? Rebel's premium bodyflex is the most high performance fabric available in the industry. We had it developed exclusively for us and it's something you have to feel and experience in person before you can comment on Rebel's quality. Many companies do their logos by just pressing crystals directly on the fabric. We applique and embroider our logos first, then press dense crystal fills on top. This is just one of the many ways we outshine the other products available in the industry. Our fit is incredible. We prototype EVERY uniform we make, and we fit every uniform we make on live models. That's how the fashion industry does it and that's how we do it too. I'm not going to say anything negative about the quality of any uniform company out there, but I will say that I firmly believe our quality and fit is the best available - and when you stack that up with the customer service our reps provide and the value of what you can get - it becomes obvious why we're the fastest growing uniform company in the industry.

Not really we are getting new uniforms from Rebel and they are $500.00. More than I have ever paid for a GK!

Are you a parent or a gym owner? We sell directly to gym owners and we don't have set pricing because everything we make is custom... but our uniforms (even our couture uniforms) are ALL less than $400. This is excluding the assessed retail cost of our worlds sponsorship uniforms (like Cheer Athletics Panthers or Georgia Allstars)

I thought that was denied above, but if so, doesn't Stingrays have ties to Varsity? Or maybe I'm getting this confused with their partnership with Nfinity.
I swear the Reign uniform was a GK catolog uniform from a couple years back! New and probably didnt break bank which is great.
No, it was designed by Kristen Ashworth from Rebel Athletic to be debuted at 2014 Worlds. Can you post the catalog uniform you're talking about?

I have had uniforms from both GK and Rebel. The rebel uniform definitely didn't fit as well as the GK but it was good enough. The main problem was the underarm area (it didn't hug anyone in that spot so it was always too big in that particular spot) and the sleeves were way too short on most of my flyers. I think it was an issue with them being super thin but not being 7 years old. We had 2 inches added to all their sleeves but not one of them had the correct sleeve length when all was said and done.
Also, the white fabric is slightly gray under stage lighting. I never really noticed it but some of my coaches did and that bugged me that it was noticeable to some even if I didn't see it.

BUT. We got exactly what we asked for at a much cheaper rate than what GK quoted me for the same uniform. The customer service was excellent with both companies. I'll stick with either of them and GTM over Varsity every day.

yes, but i doubt it. unless Rebel quoted that it was "worth" $1500 with all the bling but i'm guessing if it was worth that much they were heavily discounted or free as advertisement. otherwise that is absurd.
I actually posted on this back in April when the rumor mills were running about GA Allstars.. That uniform was a sponsorship uniform, but I did post information about the retail value. It's no where near $1500
It's is! I remember i was going to get that uni for my comp team, I think GK is bringing back some old designs putting a twist on it, they still look good! There's a uni that's in the 2014-15 catalog that was taken off a couple years ago I believe but brought it back, it was Cali's old program uni when they used gk, with mesh arms/ halter top looking one!

Can someone please post this catalog picture you're talking about? The Rebel version of this uniform was designed, prototyped and photographed BEFORE the GK version was worn at Worlds. Kristen Ashworth from Rebel designed it. It features crystal raindrops inspired by raindrops dripping down a window (crystals in a row that vary in size) -- as far as we know this look has never been done?

For some reason this statement puts a negative image in my head. Any time I hear offshore factory, I picture low wage workers all lined up at machines in a huge dingy warehouse. I am sure that is not what is happening here, it's just the first thing that pops into my head. LOL

Really?! haha.. wow. I didn't realize people still have that kind of misconception about the fashion industry. Don't worry it's nothing like you're picturing!! I'm sure 90% of what's in your closet was made in China. Our factory sits in the fashion district in Hong Kong and we are right next to Coach, Miss Me Jeans and other factories that produce private label couture apparel for the most luxury brands in this country. The owner of Rebel is Asian American and was producing private label apparel for Neiman Marcus, JC Penny, Abercrombie and Fitch, many popular brands we all wear every day prior to launching Rebel. Rebel uniforms are luxury items, just like these high fashion brands, and China is the center of the fashion manufacturing industry. By producing our uniforms here we are able to offer the best product, a true luxury garment with more complex construction and intricacies than anything that was ever available to our customer base prior. Many of the couture uniforms we make can't even be replicated by our competitors, which is why you'll often see more simplified versions of them re-produced. We post photos of our factory all the time. It's a gorgeous, will-lit state-of-the-art building. Our factory in China actually exceeds the quality standards for US factories! So basically our factory in Hong Kong has better working conditions than many factories in this country.
