whats the rule on photographs and video during performance?

The summit merchandise...I assume it's sold at WWoS. Can you pay with disney gift cards? My cp has a ton of disney gift cards but I'm not sure if the merchandise is varsity or disney.

Videos are okay on cell phones. Photos too as long as you don't have professional equipment with telephoto lenses and such. The Summit merchandise is sold by Varsity, not Disney, so they won't take the gift cards. They will also have stores set up at registration.

Last year Summit posted no photography was allowed at all. I almost did not bring my gear, I take a lot of pictures of our girls. I went with our team to practice at Jostens they were taking down the signs for no photography. They decided not to enforce it. I would bring all your normal gear. I would leave telephoto lens in the room day one to see if the enforce the no telephoto rule. I read the sheet that summit puts out they focused on telephoto lens, saying you would be removed.

Same thing happened at Cheersport. You were not supposed to be able to photograph anything without a press pass or a permit from them. They choose not to enforce. My recommendation is bring your gear just in case.

If you have a huge lens on your camera your probably asking for trouble keep them under 80mm bet you will be ok. I am bringing my 24 to 70mm and 50mm prime. I might bring 85mm prime too.

You are buying all Summit merchandise from Varsity so I doubt that Disney gift cards can be used. Bring the gift card anyway. I am sure there will be plenty of Disney merchandise she will want as well! I spent my limit on the Summit gear alone!

I will say finalist shirts were available at the performance venues as well. But I would say get most other stuff right away at celebration hall to ensure you get the size you need

What time is celebrity hall open? We are getting in after 9 pm tomorrow, but someone said they are there until midnight. Is that true? I was planning on going early on Friday.

I'm a photographer and I've been trying to come in contact with Varsity/Summit about press pass since beginning of April. Still no answer… Ugh.

I assume Summit has the same policy as Worlds. They ask for no video. I was able to use my video camera but went far up in the stands to video. I think as long as you aren't obvious and trying to video from priority or on the floor no one is going to give you a hard time about it.
I saw every type of camera at Worlds and that didn't seem to be an issue either.
Good luck to all of you! I hope for safe travels, hit routines and no injuries!

I think the entrance fee for just ESPN venues is $25 per day?
Exactly correct.

And, as a side note, the ticket you purchase as a spectator at WWoS is completely different than the ticket you would purchase to gain access to any one of the four WDW parks.

They were open till midnight for Worlds so I would assume the same is true for Summit. They will have stuff at the Josten's and the HP Fieldhouse as well.
