I was sad about it too, but now we are able to offer the Varsity Spirit Spectacular to ALL of our brands, and not just NCA as it has been in the past. Exciting new opportunities! I would have loved to be in the Macy's Parade though, always one of my big goals I set for myself.
I wish they had something in the USA that was easier to travel to. The Rose Bowl parade would be awesome…

I got a pair of slacks and a nice blazer today because when not in scrubs we have to be in business professional attire, so I feel like a real grown up. And I have nursing school orientation monday (where we need to be dressed professionally), and school starting the following monday. So anxious and nervous already.

I think it is great that it is open to all of the Varsity brands now, but I wish there was a big parade, stateside, that was not at Disney. I know that a lot of kids don't go to Disney World that often, but technically CP could go to Disney FOUR times her senior year. If she made All American she could go for the parade, then HS Nationals, then UCA and finally Worlds or The Summit, depending on her level. That is just flat out ridiculous. It may sound like an extreme scenario, but it really isn't for talented cheerleaders who do HS and Allstars. I know that Varsity won't be changing anything and that's fine, I just wish there was another option. [emoji4]

Quoting you again, I just looked up about the varsity spirit spectacular because I had no idea about it since my cp is a sophomore and wasn't a capt/co-Capt./officer. Looks cool, but it isn't televised like the Macy's parade.

I think that means that we aren't supposed to get along, since I'm from Vancouver. (I think I'm also supposed to dislike Anaheim. Or L.A. I can't keep track. All I know is nobody likes Kesler.)

But now that Canada is out of the world juniors, I guess I have to cheer for a different country. Probably Sweden.
Just Montreal. The rest of Canada is just fine.

And rooting for Sweden would make much more sense for you than Finland.

Saw Star Wars tonight and a guy 5 seats to my left not only slept through the entire movie but snored through almost the entire movie. [emoji42][emoji99][emoji99][emoji99]

During the quietest part of the whole movie too!!! [emoji33] [emoji33] My family and I were a solid 5 or 6 rows away and still heard Chewy.

The movie was better than I expected though. I loved Rey, I'm excited to see what they'll do with her character!

I guess the Boston-Vancouver 'animosity' (if you can call it that!) is leftover from 2011. And kind of one sided.:D
I usually default to Sweden because they gave us Ikea, and their food is delicious; I'm still disappointed lingonberries aren't a thing over here.

I am swedish so thank you for the kind words! I dont really like lingonberries more than with meatballs but the swedish food is really good! And sweden is a good country to root for in hockey since we have guys on almost all nhl team (not exactly allbut almost) and are one of the most succesful countries atleast on the senior side.

His friend woke him up near the end of the movie.

I liked Rey's character also. Not so sure I liked Po but I'll give it time. Overall I thought the movie was good but it didn't live up to what I expected based on the hype.

You're more than welcome to come pick lingonberries in my back yard if you want to, I hate them! And you, and all of canada, are also more than welcome to cheer for sweden for the remainder of the wjc! We need it, as of now we have two players out. We've have like 6 players injured during the championship, fortunately 4 has come back. But then had one or two injured just before.. It's gonna be tough!

You can buy lingonberry jam here. My dad bought a jar at whole foods (i think), but it was also around 10$. He said it's totally worth it.
