I had Orange on top even with the mistakes, IMO they have the best routine in the division at this point, their execution is great. That division actually went exactly as I predicted shockingly. It is extremely close and could probably go to any team at any point, and probably will. The fall in the 2nd run was not a major fall, it was just one base that hit the floor, which does not equal a major fall. I can see how they didnt get a deduction for the tumbling injury, as she did land the skill before falling. And I can see how it could have been a deduction, really either way. Scores are going to change between comps and judging panels, yes, even as much as 4 points.

ETA: And I can't comment too much on the Jamfest standings since I haven't seen too many videos. But from looking at CU's updates and the videos I've seen from yesterday and from earlier in the season, the top 2-3 teams at least in each division don't seem too far off to me. But again, I haven't seen all the videos so that could be off.

Then we need some SERIOUS training of judges if a team can swing 4 points from comp to comp, on the same score sheet, and pretty much have the same deductions. None of the other teams (in just about ANY division) are making swings like that.

If someone can post the first performance it might be more clear.
I don't see a video yet from the 1st, but you can watch MAJORS "live" again on Cheerlive and verify, if anyone has an account. Since Jamfest is going on, it looks like we can't till they stop the live feed so it'll have to be later tonight. Here is what I posted from the 1st performance....
Orange - stopped for injury in tumbling - sending prayers :(

Had a stunt bobble but were looking good....

Majors rule for all teams.

Thanks for replying. I'm assuming it's because of space on the floor given that every team would have to be packed like sardines up there, but curious if you like this practice of handing out awards?

We did! It was very efficient after a long night.

The majors is a jambrands event not a varsity one, so that could be the reason for the difference. Even on the same scoresheet jambrands may score differently. They could've made changes to the routine and performed better which would together make a big difference.
You have to remember that scoring is subjective and depends on how other teams performed. So you can't really compare scores between competitions due to different judges and different performances. The judges must have looked at Orange and thought they were that much better than the other teams so they scored them accordingly. They're not looking at how they performed in the past and judging off that. Only the one performance is being scored. If it was a two day Comp and the scores were that different, that would be questionable. But it's completely reasonable that scores can jump greatly between comps simply based on the judges and other teams.

Nothing is going to change the standings at this point. BUT, it would clear up a few things to the people who had questions and were not there that night.
With them not deducting execution errors, (instead having them affect overall score, ) I don't feel like there's going to be a whole lot of clarity on that front anyway,

I don't think it is a perfect solution, but there were elements that I liked. I don't mind the announce-only-first part - particularly at the Majors with that particular group of teams. I don't think I like the announce-all-divisions-at-once part because it is confusing. I think they could announce the divisions one at time (even with just a few seconds in between) and it would be a little better.

You're totally right. Which is what drives me nuts. As a coach, I would like more consistent scoring between competitions. Every time I bring this up at a competition, I'm told it's USASF's fault because the competition brands hire their judges from USASF. Someone needs to work on making sure that all judges judge the same way. If they don't, what is the point of even training judges? It's getting ridiculous.
