I get why they do it but for the love of carbs, can teams stop making stank faces? :cow: Those girls are so beautiful but they look like they're smelling a petting zoo.
Here's hoping they took multiple shots because I remember when sticking your tongue out between a peace sign was cool and 7 years later I sure wish I took a normal picture.
LOL. Girl on the bottom right is like "can we leave now?"

If a garment that one is supposed to wear while throwing high-impact skills (potentially 100s of times over the course of a season) does not provide adequate support, then what exactly is its purpose? They would look just as unified in solid black racerback bras.
To be fair I always wore two sports bras to cheer, even when one was a Nike one. I'm "gifted" and one sports bra just doesn't cut it for cheer. I can go Nike sports bra alone if I'm just at the gym on the elliptical or treadmill but jumping and tumbling just needs more support. Which is why uniforms should always be bra friendly! But for practice wear I think that the smoed is totally fine and I'm like head of the bra brigade [emoji23][emoji23] it's close enough to a regular sports bra that wearing a second isn't super noticeable (unlike one shouldered sports bras and the likes)

Homegirl in the centre-left of the front row looks particularly unimpressed.

I guess they're trying to convey that they're READY FOR WAR, but I prefer smiles for team photos :)

I actually like the macrame. I have a sports bra from victorias secret that isn't macrame but the back portion is very similar. It's one of my favorite sports bras. And, when I wear it, I literally go from A cup to flat. It has some pretty good compression.

And, at least their not all doing the "fish gape." But, yes, please smile. "Say Cheese" Smoed. :D

Say neon yellow cheese. ;)

So is the new thing to have different practice wear for all the big comps? (Not snarky, seriously just asking if it's a trend.) I noticed a few other teams (maybe MT and CA?) have done it in the past year.

I will add that I saw no bouncing betties on any of the TG teams I watched. So I do believe at least those tops are supportive alone.

MOST gym owners trying to design custom uniforms do not have the experience and design know-how to make innovative function and fashion work together. I believe you do even if I don't love every single uniform TG has.

Thank you for the vote of confidence...we've had our share of "moments" in the past but like to think we've learned from those moments as to not have them repeat again.

You're welcome. And that's the beauty of experience. Those of us willing to learn from it all gain wisdom from the mistakes.

It's not unusual for gyms to get new/special practice wear for big comps such as NCA, UCA, Worlds, The Summit. Our worlds team gets a new set of practice wear every year to wear at Worlds and all of our teams get shirts for UCA (Orlando), Worlds and The Summit. I kind of look at it as a "way to go/you did it" kind of thing. It makes the impression that this comp is a big deal, take it seriously.

I think this has been a thing for the past 8-10 years? At least, maybe longer?

A lot of teams get "NCA practice wear"

They added physical wings to their uniform...
